National Women's Day 2016

Have you heard? It's today! March 8th 2016! Many of you are unaware of national women's day because Nobody has ever told you. I am here to raise awareness about it.

As you can see in the third video, women have invented many things we use today, But none are commonly known.
Some inventions examples women made are:
Circular Saw by Tabitha Babbitt,
Signal Flares by Martha Coston,
Windshield Wipers by Mary Anderson,
Life Raft by Maria Beasley,
Laser Cataract Eye Surgery by Patricia Bath,
Underwater Telescope by Sarah Mather,
Heart Surgery Adhesive by Maria Pereira,
Leukemia, HIV, Malaria Drugs by Gertrude Bell Elion,
First Computer Algorithm by Ada Lovelace,
Brake Pads by Bertha Benz,
Bullet Proof Material by Stephanie Kwolek,
Fire Safe Geobond by Patricia Billings,
and last but not least, Satellite Propulsion by Yvonne Brill.
So lets not forget about all the important things that women made.

As explained in the second video, This day was created to celebrate women and promote inventions made by women. It inspires women to make inventions. The first women's day was when they were campaigning for better pay and voting rights in 1909. The second video gives you 10 things you need to know about the global celebration.

There is a National Men's Day, It is on November 19th.

Well, that's a shame that we still need a women's day nowadays, but I guess some people are blocked in the XIXth century for some mysterious reasons :/

I didn't know that International Women's Day was even a thing until Facebook told me about it, haha. I also didn't know that women invented some of the things that you listed (windshield wipers are brilliant). You learn something new everyday, I suppose!
