I've only seen a TFM related art critique topic and I haven't found an off topic one.

RULES

ARTISTS

1.) Three pictures per day and three chances for you to post one art piece repeatedly.
Many critiquers will not want to see your art daily when you could be practicing what they have suggested you to work on.

Please only post three pictures per day, it's a bit of a stretch actually. We'll give you three chances for you to post the art piece. Please keep in mind people will have most likely seen that piece no matter how much you post it. There are many reasons for them to skip over it, do not question them, just move on.

2.) Be prepared for harsh comments.
You never know how bad it can be. If you specifically don't want harsh critiques, just say it in your post.

Some of us do not have the patience do be nice and will gladly skip over your piece if you do not want harsh critiques. But be aware that most of the people who do not have the patience are the ones who can help you the most. If you have hard skin, asking for all types of critiques may be helpful.

3.) Do not throw a tantrum or pick a fight if the critiquer gives you harsh comments.
Nobody needs fights in this thread.

If it is necessary to talk about it, fight with them in-game or somewhere else. Drama is unneeded here. You will be warned to stop by other forumers or reported if it is spamming up the thread.

4.) Add information of what you want help with and information of what you don't want help with.
This can be heplful for other mice to help you.

This should be mandatory but we know some artists want general-critiques and we're okay with that! If there's nothing but a picture for us to critique, be aware that this however. . . Gives us the permission to critique anything and everything.

5.) Do not use the excuse of "this is my style" or anything like that.
We do not really like this excuse. If it's really because of your style, reword it and explain.

CRITIQUERS

1.) Respect the artist.
Personal grudges should not be taken on here.

Read the post, look at the drawing, and be helpful. Do not let past grudges affect your critique. Do not pick fights with the artist or just plain ignore their post if you have to.

2.) Help the artist, not make them feel bad. On the other hand, help the artist but don't ass pat them.
Help the artist and don't kiss their asses. It can lead to big egos and they will not improve if they think they hit the max. Do not force your style onto them or make them change it, they are not supposed to change their style from the influence from this thread. Do not kick them around though, they are not going to improve them that either.

Anatomy help is NOT trying to make them change their style by the way.

3.) DO not post if you are not going to critique.
Self explanatory.

4.) Is this going to help them or is it going to help you?
This rule is here because sometimes people just don't like the art piece. Some will even try to get the artist to change what they don't like. If you are going to include what is annoying you in their art piece, say that it is YOUR PREFERENCE/ANNOYANCES.

Yeah, off topic art is allowed in the TFM section because it was made back when Off Topic Art wasn't a thing. ^^

ah well let's see what the mods think.
