When making a double post, a warning should prevent you from doing it on the first click, explaining it is against the rules. Since there are a few edge cases were it's ok (really long OPs) I imagine we can't just prevent it, but it really should warn you (both to prevent accidents, and for those who don't know).

+1, this is a perfect solution to the problem that many different forum software developers have implemented, it'd definitely be suitable here too.

They let us double-post, but not triple-post, that will 4ever be against the rules.
There are lots of reasons behind that.
