any1 else having problems with the intense amount of lag going on in this game. it threatens my lively hood

I'd imagine a lot of people are having lag (some of my friends are) and it was said by Meli that you'd need a stable connection to really be able to play, doesn't have to be a great one but a stable one indeed.

Other then that it could be your computer or just the game itself since it did only come out yesterday. Give it time and eventually it'll be optimized better (hopefully).

uh well it's happening to 75% of the whole player base so yeah, my computer has tons of ram and a 650 ti nvidia graphics card :I

I do feel it is laggy, especially for some of my friends.
Maybe theres too much players? so just go to another room.

Also i do not see how lag = crowded with 12 years old

We actually identified a few spots that made Nekodancer particularly laggy compared to Transformice, as I speak Tig is making a ton of optimizations and tries each of them on the crappiest Eeepc he could find. Hopefully it should be a lot better in the very next patch.

Meanwhile you can try to close the country chat tab, it takes a bit of memory at each message, and flood can be going on in there

well a lot of people in rooms 1-10 were complaining about a load of lag and lag spikes which everyone else was having on the amercia/english servers. it may be fixed now

It probably wasn't "lag" per se, as in "high ping to the server", but more processor lags where some task takes high amounts of processor resource, making the arrows a bit trembling. It should be a LOT better now, Tig has optimized a lot of things, and detects low FPS to deactivate even more things.

Agreed, lag is horrible right now. Still needs more optimizations, or it'll be another failed game.

It had gotten better now, I can really see the difference now. There's still occasional lag spikes but not as MUCH.
