These are the meaning of every error encountered when processing a video on nekodancer. Thanks to Meli for the clarification. :D

Error 3: Video embedding is disabled.
Error 4: Age restriction (Inappropriate for younger audiences)
Error 5: Views are under 1000
Error 6:

Error 6 is simply an error on our end, the video can't be processed at the moment because either the server is too busy or there was an error processing the video. Trying again later won't fix it unless there's a reboot in the middle.

Error 7: Video length is over 10 minutes.

I've also been keeping note of what videos are giving which code, trying to figure out whats common in those videos.

Keep in mind none of those are confirmed, it's just speculation from testing on my part.

I think my error 6 definition is wrong. I found two cases where it defied the definition. So I really don't know.
Also, I don't think error 5 is views because I got error 5 one day with a vid and with the same vid another day it gave error 6.

Yeah error 6 has me puzzled too, I can't come up with any theories for it as so many different kinds of videos trigger it.

Please mods, just tell us!

i might be wrong, but i have a feeling that error 6 means that the game probably cant generate a ''stepfile'' to the video requested
just speculation though

also i believe error 7 is indeed ''video too long'' since i've tried submitting videos with over 10 minutes and they all gave me error 7

I did some experiments. Some interesting results occurred, and this is what happened. I used the same song. Eric Prydz - Call on me. Almost exactly the same sound quality.

I have no clue what's going on. Basically though, it says that the game can't just decide when it cant create a stepfile for the video. :/ Especially since the game created a stepfile to the sound of a firetruck (which happens to be non monetised). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61qZ4DwVnuE
What puzzles me even more is the video for error 6 is monetised, which makes my explanation wrong too.

Imo, it's most likely that Lillyla is the closest to the correct answer, because it doesn't seem like the problem is anything to do with the video.

I feel that error 6 is base on copyright.
Artist or song names that represents a copyright or the music is for another game might not work.
Like what i did for this song called Elisha by Dj yoshitaka.
With his name on the song, the song gave an error 6, however, i found one which does not have his name and hey pesto! it worked!

im not really sure if its copyright though
for example if i try loading some songs from sonic the hedgehog games, some work, while some give error 6
also all videos have ''sonic the hedgehog'' in them
so no i dont think its copyright related

I just realize something. If you put a youtube link that does not exist or false, the error 6 appears.

Thank you, I had a look at the video and I spotted that playback/embedding has been disabled for it. Also tried another video that gave me error 3, again embedding had been disabled. I wonder if that's what causes error 3? Will test when I get the time.

I think that the game only stores a limited amount of "stepfiles" , because I can't add any new songs anymore, as every single one of them give the error 6. Only the videos that have been generated before work, as the game doesn't have to generate any new stepfiles.

I'm under the same impression. Seems I can't upload anything new anymore...

What, so we're just stuck with whatever the game's given us? That sucks..

I'd imagine till maybe when the server restarts but it's still pretty frustrating. Can't really blame them though for only having so much memory.

Why can't Tig just tell us what the damn errors are? Like seriously, how do you expect your users to understand what is wrong with your game when they try to submit a video and it doesn't load? "Error 6" is not descriptive. It means nothing to ANY of us. We would like to know why it went wrong, don't fucking hide this from us.

Another note: Two days ago I had a ton of error 6's when I was trying to submit a copy of Let's Dance by David Bowie, I tried it again with a fresh link yesterday and it worked that time (although, I think I should note that this is after a few tries with other copies of Let's Dance which also didn't work). Perhaps the stepfile thing is a daily limit? We need Tig to clarify this otherwise he's leaving a lot of users out in the dark.

This sounds likely; as a ton of videos uploaded by MorningMusumeChannel are not working for me, yet I already have three songs from the channel on my playlist.
Not to mention, one song I removed, then readded, works instantly.

Regardless, it's bloody annoying. I've really been enjoying this game until this moment, but now I can't add any of the songs I think are going to be a good fit.

I really hate about error 6 made me sick... I was on adblock from google chrome. I really p*** off atm -_-
