In that case as long as you can pass it I don't see the problem. |

I don't know why everyone is saying "dibs" The optimal implementation would allow stepfiles to be submitted for every song, and then a list of such stepfiles (including number of notes to determine difficulty) could be selected via a drop-down next to the song in your playlist. Furthermore, there could be a room rating similar to the one for P0 maps in tfm at the end of the round in order to filter out the bad. Then you won't have to argue about dibs or make a song everyone wants to play only accessible to super skilled players who want 721 notes in everything. |

i dont know why you're beating a dead horse solfn a dit : with that said, the a801 trello points out that when adding a song, a player will be asked if they want to add the original, or their custom-made version of the song. i'm sure people will make things with more than 721 notes, don't you worry. ^-^ |

swagneko a dit : Every part has to be doable. You either have to get 95% in total, 100% in total, or just be able to clear every part of the song while maintaining a combo. If there is a part that is totally impossible then it shouldn't be there. I'm thinking atelier won't allow the track to speed up or slow down in different parts of the song (movement speed is in proportion with the set bpm), so I'm hoping they allow us a precise track editor that allows us to hear the song bit by bit to accurately place the notes. Until a801 fix all the bugs, percentage counting would be harmful. Better make use of tfm logic here: finish the map + N cheese. Solfn a dit : Fixed bpm is a bad idea. Sometimes songs have different parts with the different bpm, sometimes even an unmeasurable gaps. A801 should do things wisely here. Or, if you're talking about note consistency, then there should be no limits on how notes placed. Static distribution is no fun at all. |

Rar a dit : That's what I meant. You should be able to listen to the music piece by piece (like editing a video frame by frame) in order to pinpoint the exact location a note should be placed. |

Solfn a dit : Oh, ok. Waveform under the track editor is a way to go. |

To be honest, I think calling 'dibs' on a certain song is a bad idea. Why can't we just edit it ourselves so our songs will br unique? Dernière modification le 1424360160000 |

Ncapistrano a dit : We would have to find another video of that song cause if we put the same vid as someone else's it would mark it as their track not YOUR track so... Gabeyly a dit : your saying you can't hit up, down, and left keys at the same time? or down, left, and right keys at the same time and the rest of the combanations you need a doctor if you can't do that. |

We don't even know if there will be a track editor at this point, because the game's considered officially dead by the admins, especially since they don't include the updates the other games get to the HUD. Songs with 3 notes will exist. 4 is possible, but newer players will not understand how to hit them because of ghosting keys. |

What if instead of placing dibs on songs, since this idea is hypothetical anyways considering there isn't a track editor as of yet and who knows if they'll keep their promise of putting one in the game, that there would be a room that plays only the edited tracks that haven't been approved yet, and once that track gets a certain amount of votes then it'll be the track played instead of the regular track or it'll be the one played alternatively. If there is another track of the same video made by a different person then if it gets a higher amount of votes or something then the track before it then it might replace it? I know that the idea I'm placing isn't the greatest, but even you know that not everybody is going to see this list of dibs and there will be people who will create a track for the particular song first before the person who claimed dibs on it gets a chance. |

Hey well as it appears now with the news of nekodancer possibly dying in January because of the youtube change, track editor that doesn't depend on youtube might be mandatory to keep the game alive, otherwise nekodancer is gone. What do we think about it? Also instead of placing reservations for songs there should be names of players working on a particular song when you type in the name of your track. It should come up with similar names when you type in the name (so that you don't end up with duplicates) and then the names of players will be there to let you know if your work has a risk of becoming redundant (if the other player's edit turns out to be better). I revoked most of the opening post in light of the news about January 2016. |
