Just a crappy suggestion that won't ever be implemented nor considered. Please don't waste the energy to say that it isn't important as people have done in the past.

Round Bonuses
Some rounds you just know you won't first, but you might be able to pull off another maneuver to earn you points towards your next turn. Or maybe you did get first, but it was an awesome underdog first more epic than your average lead-the-whole-game first. How can you be awarded for these slick moves? Round bonuses.

• Underrat (2 pts)
A mouse is not the first to get cheese, but is the first in the hole. Not uncommon but always awesome when it happens, this bonus would award mice for their nice victory from behind.

• Blur of Fur (4 pts)
A mouse is not only first to the hole, but first by at least 10 seconds. This is really rare, but even more epic when it happens. This is achieved by radical shortcuts (or by hacking, but you'll get banned before the points can benefit you) and just plain proness.

• Foot Start (2 pts)
After the timer has counted down to 0, a mouse waits another 3 seconds before moving and still manages to come out within the top 3. This is a nice risky bonus where confidence is an important factor and if you're finding it easy to first can challenge yourself by giving others a headstart.

• Spacemouse (1 pts)
The mouse who went the highest on the map (offscreen included). This would only be granted if the mouse also went into the hole. If multiple people reached the same height, no bonus is given.

• Two for the Team (4 pts)
One or both of the mice icecubed within the first minute. Being iced within the first minute likely isn't a result of trolling but either inability to complete the map (in which case you deserve the bonus points for trying) or the shaman just screwing around (in which case you deserve the bonus points for falling victim to shaman trolling).

• No Cigar (1 pts)
A mouse gets the cheese but does not make it back to the hole (RIP).

• Master Shaman (10 pts)
The shaman successfully completes a P4 map with only teal (blue/green) nails. The map is considered "completed" if at least one mouse besides the shaman makes it to the hole. This, of course, only applies to P4 (shaman) maps. The bonus would be canceled if the shaman uses a yellow nail, red nail, or arrow anchor.

• Ice Queen (-1 pts)
The shaman kills a mouse by turning them into ice. Each mouse is -1 point. This would discourage trolling with ice and encourage saving it as a last measure.

You gain points towards your next shaman turn after you shaman based on how many mice you saved (and bonuses if this were implemented).

I quite like the idea of branching out ways for mice to get points. It would certainly add a bit more to the racing element of the game overall.

meh seems a bit complex, taking away the want for firsts, which is kind of the foundations of this game, no support :(
