We all know we have younger users and we have the filter so they can enjoy the game cuss free.
Well I had the idea to enter your age when making a new account. If you were born in 2000 or above, your filter would automatically be set to on and could not be turned off. I think this would be useful so they didn't have to set it on themselves or try to turn it off, therefor making it safer and easier to play.

Hopefully this has not been suggested yet. If it has mod's have the full right to lock this.

How is it 'not needed' exactly?
Parents allow younger ones to go on Transformice, I think they should be safer with asking their age. I don't see why you are against it.

Yes but the terms of use basically state that this is a 13+ game.
It's just like letting a 5 year old playing Black Ops 2...

i would think if they're 10 or younger it would automatically be on.
i would think a 12/13 year old (if you were born in 2000) would be able to handle cusswords, though.

Believe me, I'm with you not against you with the whole kids and cussing thing, but I don't see how this would work.

Well, normally it was created for 13 yr. olds and up, but nowadays younger ones tend to come across this site and play it as well. This suggestion of mine is simply to ensure 10 yr. olds and younger are safe.

Kids will pick up cussing anyway from other sources, such as crappy music and tv.

Okay? But I'm talking about on Transformice, not anything else. I do believe tv censors the bad words, too.

yes, they would, but wouldnt the filter block it out?
the filter automatically blocks out cusswords if they're said if its on on your side.

^this. I'm 13 and my classmates say basically every cussword in school (except the terrible c-word) and I'm sure 12+ should be okay.

Game made for 13+ if they can't handle it, then don't play.

No support. How about the old players? It's just unfair for new players then.

I don't really see how this is necessary? The filter is automatically on for everyone, people can turn the filter on and off if they think they need it.
