Can someone critique? Call it a Dragon/Cat hybrid. Also, the long muzzle wasnt on purpose, but when I kept lining it darker with pencil it got longer and longer, and I didnt fix it. I would like most of the criteque on the head, body, and wings. I would also like someone to show me how to make cat ears flattened back aggressively/fearfully. When I try to draw them flattened in anger/fear, it looks odd, so I simply draw them how shown in this drawing. I’d be thankful for help on that *^* The tail was made extra long on purpose, and the muzzle was made long on accident (which I know cats have small round-ish snouts) [size=5]Woo Dragon/Cat/Dog hybrid then. The snout’s a dog’s snout. apperently Sorry for potato quality |

If you know there's issues on it, why not attempt to correct them prior to posting? |

Haruhitastic a dit : I think maybe because they don't know how to fix it |

Just going to point out that in the previous post they made, the critiques they received could have easily fixed the issues they had with it. |

I don't think they submitted a flying cat with dragon wings in the previous post but I could be wrong? Dernière modification le 1411419480000 |

Musicaholic a dit : I think she is refering to his earlier posts. They all have similar problems he doesn't seem to fix. |

birdluv a dit : Exactly. I was referring to the snout and ears. |

User in question was told multiple ways to make their cat muzzles look less canine. Read back. |

birdluv a dit : The similar problems are the snout and ears, I believe? But the person said they made the snout that way on accident. Whether or not that's true is debatable, I suppose, but there are other things to critique in the drawing, such as the wings and the body. |

Musicaholic a dit : The anatomy was again pointed out in the last requested critique, I believe. |

birdluv a dit : For the last critique request they posted, they had about 2 pages of critiques, so yes, I'm sure someone critiqued the body. That still leaves the wings, obviously, but that's pretty minimal to everything that was covered in the critiques from their last post. |

. griffincraft a dit : Why, exactly? Please don't tell me you were lazy or just forgot. The wings are out of placement, for more just go back a page or a two. |

What I mostly saw was people critiquing the shape of the snout, the facial and body expressions and comparisons to the canonical character depictions To be fair, while there were some red lines there wasn't that much of an explanation on the anatomy issues |

birdluv a dit : No, the pencil was marked in too deeply into the paper. It still left a dark graphite mark when I erased |

^Yet in this drawing it’s a slightly different position. On the others, one’s standing and the other crouching/laying on it’s side. Here I dont know how to make it look like it’s flying, you know, how much tilt and such. Also, I’m a girl :/ |

griffincraft a dit : The neck seems a bit too long, and too narrow where it meets the head. Perhaps try to widen it at the top by a little bit and make the neck a bit shorter. I could be wrong, but I feel like the placement of the head is a bit too much to the left. If the cat was leaning its head forward by that far, I think its body would react in a much different way than what you had illustrated. The way you depicted the head sort of reminds of how cats look like when they're trying to sneak up on something, but when cats do this, they sort of lean their upper part of the body forward, like this for an example: I don't think they're capable of doing that while in the position you drew, or at least it would be highly uncomfortable. So I'd say, perhaps move the head more to the right, or curl the bottom part of the body inwards a bit so it looks like the upper body is leaning forward a bit. The stomach/belly seems to start at an odd point. It's like the body is nearly flat at the top, but then out of nowhere there's a bulge at the bottom. I think the stomach should start much higher, and follow the line of the chest a bit more, in stead of being just a random bulge. The hind legs are jointed a bit awkwardly. It looks like the feet come out of its butt. (Not trying to be offensive, sorry if it seemed that way). Here's a picture of a cat to explain it a bit better: I outlined the hind legs to make the shape more noticeable. Another thing is that I feel like the tail is a bit too thin at the start. It doesn't look like it can hold the weight of the rest of itself. Perhaps widen it a bit, where it meets the body? The snout has already been commented on. As for the ears, I think you placed the inside of it (I don't know what to call it) on the wrong side. It should be pointing forward, at least in the position you placed the ears. I'm not very good with wings but I think, just like the tail, they should be a little wider where they meet the body. Hope I helped at least a little bit. ^^ EDIT: Also, I think the front legs are a bit too small compared to the body size. Dernière modification le 1411423560000 |

Musicaholic a dit : Thanks! I wrote on my post about the ears, on how I’d like help on making them flattened, facing back. I’ll try to fluff up the tail more next time, and I just noticed when I read your criteque that the stomach wasn’t lined with the chest. I kind of didnt understand what you meant by “The body’s curving the wrong way”, though. I’ll practice a bit more on the legs as well. I know I shouldnt say this but I kind of disagree on the neck being narrow, but that’s probably just me. Thanks anyways! c: Could anyone criteque the wings? And the ears (I wanted to draw them flattened, aggressively) too, if possible |

My cats usually look like this when they're irritated or they want to pounce (On me -_-). |
