It's really useful to me actually.

I'm not saying remove it..I'm saying if you have the whisper tab up instead of general tab..typing R as the first letter shouldn't bring up the /c personhere thing.

Nobody understands what I'm saying I guess...if you are ignoring main chat to talk to one person in whisper chat..if you say something starting with 'r', say robot, it will show up as bot or obot because it adds the /c personsname...

Its usefull if you watch main chat, but annoying if youre 1 on 1 chatting in a whisper.

I don't understand what your problem is...
1 on 1 chat is the best with using r. Like Kat said if you just go to the tab you don't have to type anything but whatever you want to say.
Also, even if you do type "obot" instead of "robot", is it really that big a deal to get rid of it? Just correct your mistakes and move on. I don't know why you would type robot anyways :p

Huge necrobump here, but I've actually been experiencing this problem and it's sad to see that back then no one understood the suggestion.

The idea as I understood it is this:

You have 2 tabs open, being room chat and whispers with Mouse X.
Meanwhile, Mouse Y is whispering you without having their own tab.
You're looking at the tab for Mouse X and want to reply, so you press R (because that's what you're used to, I know Enter works for this purpose)
Because Mouse Y whispered you without you seeing it, R will actually /c Mouse Y, EVEN THOUGH you're looking at the whisper tab for Mouse X. This leads to confusion and sending your whisper to the wrong person.

The suggestion is to make R have two distinct functions: In a non-whisper tab it should be used to reply to the last person to whisper you, whereas in a whisper tab it should be used to reply to the person whose tab you have open.

Hopefully it's clear like this, because I actually think it still is a good idea.

I think tab does this? And tab again will bring you back to chat.
