This is a pretty basic idea for a new game mode. In this game mode, there would be two shamen. One would have the blue portal and the other would have the orange portal. Other than that, it would be pretty much the same as any other collab map.

Reason: Shamans can spawn two portals each which makes things easy but with this each sham gets one portal meaning without the other everything falls apart i would think this is better since it enforces co-op and makes things more interesting

Kiss goodbye to your saves when this luck-based dual shaman mode comes up after waiting forever on your shaman turn! All joking aside, dual shaman maps (P8) are maps that work with two shamans but if one of them were to be AFK, it is still possible to complete with one shaman -- with this game mode in mind, not only are you taking away the ability to complete this as one shaman but you are giving people another reason to hate dual shaman entirely if the other shaman becomes inactive during their turn.

Not a bad idea, but there are a couple of issues that might occur if the mode became a reality.

First, before I get into the issues, I wanted to mention that I'm sure it will encourage shamans to work harder together for saves and it might provide a new challenge. Plus, no one will be building solely.

Now onto the issues. If both shamans, for instance, have divinity mode on and are spawned in different positions, their spawn ranges in total will be covering about 80% of a 800px × 400px map. So, when this suggestion is implemented, many shamans will be able to finish a map in a matter of seconds.
To solve this issue, reducing the size of the spawn ranges by 50% or more might make this mode just as challenging as other modes. I guess it's better to leave this up to the map maker himself. ^^

Not to mention, if one shaman dies without having spawned his portal yet, then the portal will be completely lost and the map will be impossible to solve (assuming that the map is only solvable by portals, otherwise portals would be useless). I believe that giving the surviving shaman the lost portal would be a solution to this problem, but then again, the mode would become pointless.

In conclusion, this mode is good, but needs a few tweaks to challenge shamans and work flawlessly. /half-support
