Hello, I created a tool to edit joints visually with javascript, and you can test your map with this tool!

You can make various mechanism with joints.
It is a pity that you have to edit xml directly to use them and only few people know what to do.
That is why I tried to create the joint editor. I hope it will help you to make mechanism maps.


What is possible
You can edit grounds/joints visually.
When you change Z value of ground, related M1/M2 will automatically be updated.
You can resize created grounds visually.
You can make a group and move it.
You can test your map.
etc..

How to use

Here is a simple guidline for each parts.

To get XML, simply click "XML" button at top left.


Note:
There might be bugs. I would appreciate it if you could report them.

This editor won't load any Mice Stuff and Shaman Items. It means that all mechanisms which include anchors won't work in this tool.
However, they won't be lost from xml.

It might be really laggy when there are too many joints.
Be careful when you use this tool for joint art maps.

I tried to copy TFM physics. Water physics, invalid friction and invalid restitution work properly.(I think)
But the law is slightly different from this game. So please do not put too much confidence in the result from it.

but doesnt that mean it runs differently from the game engine?

I think TFM is using Flash version of Box2d, and this is Javascript version.
No wonder there is a difference.

Could you tell me what browser are you using? and screenshot if possible.
I heard that happens on windows/Firefox and I thought it had been fixed now.

There are still 2 problems:

1 - The map settings, settings is jumping out of the box
2 - In the ground config the "Collision with ground" isn't inside the box

Ctrl S > Save full website > enjoy it, just some buttons will dissapear but it'll still work
