Disable Dual Shaman

This is just a quick suggestion for one of the most infurtiating features of the game, Dual Shaman maps.

These pesky maps, especially the vanilla ones, are infuriating when you're working hard to become the shaman in a large room (such as v1 which usually has 30+ people in peak times) and you're given a DS map. This is extremely annoying as it can sometimes take over half an hour just to get shaman again, and sometimes you're given a DS map again. This process is extremely time consuming.

When you're trying to get Hardmode saves, I find this an unwanted and uneeded feature, and believe that you should have an option to disable the ability to shaman on these maps.

It isn't just annoying for gathering Hardmode saves though, quite a few users dislke it when they're killed instantly and their hole is blocked, another annoying part of DS maps. Its quite frankly ridiculous, keep shaman fights to the fight minigame.

Edit: The reason I suggested this is because a lot of people don't have enough time to play repetitively for hours.

The whole purpose of the game is to gather cheese, not to watch for two minutes as two shamans try and kill each other alongside the mice.

From MY point of view here.
If you do know a room is crowded with mice, you should have gone to a room with lesser mice like about 15 mice.
it wont take so long to be shaman again.
Also Dual Maps ( to me ) is a life lesson. There is two options base to mice in game,
Peace or War.
Most normal mice would go for peace to gain saves,
But other shams battle to get their saves.
So if you want to get your own saves, you have to practice another skill for that.
Survivor skills like CNJ,SP ,etc.
You either find another room or you resist it.

From MY point of view here.
If you do know a room is crowded with mice, you should have gone to a room with lesser mice like about 15 mice.
it wont take so long to be shaman again.
Also Dual Maps ( to me ) is a life lesson. There is two options base to mice in game,
Peace or War.

And why shouldn't they be able to disable this feature? It would actually give them a chance to learn how to shaman, especially if they're new.

Perhaps instead of disabling duel shams completely, they create a circle you can tick so it will not pick you as shaman for duel shams.

/no support, wut if everyone in a room disabled this and then no one woould sham. It just seems like a bad idea, I bet there is a reason tfm added these maps in. And also, there are some duel sham maps where shams share a hole and they have to WORK TOGETHER to get all the mice to the hole. These maps, you probably don't have a problem with so how will you know which map is which, if its the 2 hole duel sham map or the 1 hole duel sham map???

There's a difference between dual sham (not duel sham lol) and P8. P8 is called "co-op."
No support however from me. I feel it's unnecessary, and it ruins how the gameplay functions.

I doubt everybody in a room would have dual sham disabled, and if everyone did have it disabled, it would simply skip the dual sham map all together, not give the map but have no shamans. And whoever it skipped for dual sham wouldn't loose their points to shaman either.

Having this as a toggle option would allow players who would not like to have dual shaman maps for many reasons like - they don't want to mess up the other shamans build, other shaman is troll/murderer (assuming this is for 2 sham and 1 hole map), they get paired with a higher level sham who ultimately kill them + block their hole which makes it hard to get saves/time to get sham again, and personally for people like myself who just don't like working with other shaman.

As Redda already mentioned this toggle option is for the individual - not for the whole room - if it was your sham turn and you have dual shaman disabled then you wouldn't get that type of map during your shaman turn. (wanted to re-clarify)

What i CAN agree with is the polishing of dual shaman gameplay. It's quite broken to be able to freeze the other shaman with STOP!, kill all the mice with ancestral spirit after losing the fight, or become practically invincible with grapnels. Teleporting the other shaman was disabled yet much more problematic skills were left untouched.

I see what you're saying, but it should be left up to the player to decide if they want to do dual shaman maps. It doesn't affect you or any other player, but rather the individual who disabled it. It should be up to them how they want to play the game whether that be with dual or not.

Dual gameplay fixing is not what is being suggested here so that's irrelevant for this suggestion.

As a player the choices you get to make are your shaman mode and the room you play in. If the room you play in has dual maps in rotation then you must at some point expect to play a dual shaman map. I would rather see content fixed than swept under the rug, which is why I bought up what I did in my second paragraph. If it was more reliant on skill to deal with the other shaman rather than dumb luck (if they have OP skill or not) I would simply tell you to learn to deal with it, but I know from experience this is not possible. Removing the OP skills from dual maps will make it so you have a fair shot at the dual map and thus make them far less frustrating to play - to the point where people who currently don't like them may actually start to like them. It's far better to fix content that is unenjoyable to be enjoyable rather than just let people choose not to play it.
