Do you think with the new Shaman Skills update that more of the old players play more? Old friends of yours who became bored and only login once in a while? Or do you think the community has stayed the same?

I've seen the "Amount of People On" number rocket. More of my "old" friends seem to play, too. Do you think this sort of 'major' update will awaken TFM again?

it normally happens when they see something new, there's a reinsurgence of players. happens with holidays too.

Yep, with this update I'm playing for more time too, I have not played like that for ages...

Of course, when there is something new, many people come back to check it out. And right now lots of people play longer than usual in order to level up fast.

Not sure if this effect will last, though. Once the novelty wears off, the number of players will likely drop again. Everyone is currently trying out their new fancy skills, but flying around and summoning exploding sheep will eventually get old, too.

I've played around with some of these skills for a little while, but lost interst quickly. Maybe that's just me - I prefer things to be simple, I don't need all this extra stuff. And as a normal mouse, I find it rather un-amusing to see shamans fly around the map for a minute instead of building, and to have those bubbles pop up all the time.

This update is definitely not going to bring me back to playing in vanilla/normal rooms regularly again.

I think this update is growing stats too. Yesterday i had 6200 hard mode saves and now i have 7000+ hm saves. Also cheese too.

When I'm at 3am I have maybe 5 friends at that time now more than 14 so yea.
And old friends are playing again.

yeah definitly. now there's a ton of players everywhere. but in a couple weeks they'll go back to being normal again :P

Vanilla on EN goes over 20 now as well

I don't really notice a change though because I'm playing in vanilla when I usually play in Normal rooms or # rooms.

This also Happens during events, though

One of my old friends came back online today. She seemed interested in this new update.

I quit the game but this new update made me play again for hours. I don't know, I hope it won't die out too soon.

Yeah! 1 week earlier of this update, I had stopped playing Transformice, and now it, and Im back! :O And other friends my.

the owner of my main's tribu got on and she pretty much quit tfm
with the fact i dont see anymore trollers, this is amazing

Yeah, this is so true, I saw 5 of my old friends just the other day. I asked them why, they said that they had nothing to do and there was an update.

I see people with Mech Tree using it to troll sometimes ._.

This is easily the best update Transformice has seen since hard mode.
