I have thought of a new feature that could possibly be considered adding to transformice..?
When you sign up, you put in your username.. which could be a 'permaname'
Permaname- A permanent name that cannot be changed whatsoever, which accesses you to the forums and to log-in, be searched for your profile, and messaged. (Unless name clicked on the user list in a room) It would show up on your profile under your tribe, as "Perma-name: _____"
Nickname- A changable setting accessed from the profile of your mouse. It allows you to have your name changed to whatever you'd please, and it shows up while in a room. It also shows as your heading on your profile. Incase you're not happy with your current name and would like it changed.

On the friends list, it shows up as your permaname. So your friends would not get confused with your new name-change and would know who you are.

Or, there's another one related to this suggestion:
Name changes for 5 fraises each.
This includes the log-in name, the private messaging name, and whatever your current names are used for. On your friends list if you got your name changed, it would have in parentheses (Formerly _____) or something next to your new name.

I do notice that this would require a huge amount of coding, so I'm unsure about if you'll take it into considering or not. It was just a sudden idea that popped in my head as i came back from a long break and realized that I didn't like my name anymore. So yep, thank you for reading this >.<

I'm guessing these would both come under that. However, I did ask on the Q&A thread about name changes a while back and I got a reply from one of the (ex)sentinels saying that players might be able to change their username by using fraises. I'll try to find the post.
