I believe this has been suggested before, but here you go.
My suggestion is on

http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx330/1Foxyfoxfox/mousetraps_zpsa6d4c2c3.png
Before you go off saying "OMGS THATS SU CURELS" let me explain.
------------------
The mouse traps would provide a challenge to players, either by sacrifice or just trying to get through the map. This could be placed in most room such as Survivor, Vanilla, Racing, or plain regular rooms (except in bootcamp because the player can revive and get the cheese easily, sorry about that).

The mouse trap can have only two frames of animation with no special effects to decrease lag. One animation is when the mouse trap is open, the other when it is closed, (a.k.a. when it catches and kills the player).

So, when the mouse trap is open it'll look somewhat like

http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx330/1Foxyfoxfox/open_zps9cfcc845.png
When it's close (caught a player)

http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx330/1Foxyfoxfox/closed_zpsaacaecfb.png
Like the ice blocks, the player will appear as a basic mouse when caught. The two frames can signal the other players if the mouse trap is deadly or safe.

Encountering the mouse trap will automatically kill the player, there's no way to survive going through it without being revived from the shaman. After a player is caught in the mouse trap, the small cheese will levalate and the rest of the players can get the cheese, which is explained when I said sacrificing (And if the shaman sacrifice themselves, well then good luck). Both the mouse and the mouse trap will be non collision with mice or item to prevent blockades. When the mouse trap is open, it will not 'snap' if an item, such as a cannon ball, goes through.

In the map editor, the mouse traps will be placed under the "Mice stuff" and there will be a limited amount of mouse traps placed in each map. The amount of mouse traps placed can be varied, and it's not offical.

http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx330/1Foxyfoxfox/mapeditormousetraps_zpsce214712.png
Again, the amount could be different. Anything further than the amount will not be added.

Another reason why I thought of this idea was the reality of how some of us humans see towards mice, maybe testing some common sense, and what some mice may go through in real life.

Any questions about this suggestion just ask below!
Also any supports/non supports will be a bit helpful
thanks!

hmmm what does this do ?

soo do you think if we all know about this trick

do you think someone will still fall for it ? o.O idk

there should be some kind of a STRING , so that the mice walks

and crossed the string the trap will appear and TADA ~!

I'm a little confused on what you're saying. Someone might fall for it, unless they know exactly what it is. It's not really a 'trick' if the mouse trap is plainly visible. And why should there be a string that unleashes the trap? When in reality the trap is already placed, ?

what they're saying is why would anyone fall for the mousetrap if they know what it is, they can just jump right over it or not go there
it's like when there's a huge hole on the map, people don't just jump into it

Well, the pictures were only an example. The mouse traps could be enlarged so that the mouse won't be able to jump over it. It's all based on the decision of the player whether or not to sacrifice themselves for the rest of the mice. They don't have to kill themselves. But it could be used to block players from getting cheese in certain maps, so that's where it comes through, or placed in a gap/ditch in which the player does have a chance of death and risking to get the cheese. In, like in survivor, the shaman can cannon or place the players in those traps, and the mice would have to avoid going near them. Just as a challenge.

Mousetraps are usually too graphic to be able to be implemented very effectively, and regardless will be very limited as to how they look in lots of maps. If you want something that'll kill people instantly and can be used in many more situations, I honestly prefer Fload's Cactus Ground idea ^^'

I can't see this used in very many maps

If you want you can just make a mouse trap mech for the occasional map that you want a mouse trap

Fload's Cactus Ground thing didn't end up that good. This idea could be the next "Help, i'm stuck!' comedy. Really, it could be funny to laugh at someone stuck.
I think this would make a excellent add-on to Tfm. I support.

The mouse trap doesn't at all need to be graphic, it can be very plain and simple. I'm not so sure about the cactus ground, since there's already a lava one that's deadly.

Yes, but mechanical maps can cause loads of lag. At least the mouse trap, like icing mice, has only a one frame and easy to place to make it more challenging
Anyway
thanks for the support from some of you!

The trap should be invicible because it's too obvious ~
