<S X="480" Y="180" T="12" H="40" P="1,0,0.3,0.2,0,0,0,5" L="80" a="0.5" /> Simple: change the opacity of a ground. This could also be limited to color grounds, since they're, of course, the most practical use of this feature. This is a *very* simple feature, however has many practical applications. Practical applications • Art. A certain level of depth can be nicely achieved through the use of transparency: glowing effect, smoothness, depth, and so on. • Atmosphere. Some brave souls have tried to create background with other grounds, however the effect is often compromised by the lack of depth: people can't see the depth. By overlaying background-ground with a low-opacity ground, the effect can be achieved beautifully. • Convenience. Mechanism maps make great use of invisible grounds, however editing XML is a pain and the option was never intended to begin with. With this, it'd serve the purpose we've been "make-doing" a lot more comfortably. |
