This sounds like a really good idea for a thread! I love seeing resources etc. that others use to help them with art!

1. Where'd you learn to draw?

I kind of took interest in drawing when I was young, and really just kept on drawing from there! It was something I really enjoyed doing, and a couple of years ago I got a tablet because I was interested in digital art although didn't use it for a year. I discovered transformice fanart in December, and then finally began to draw with my tablet.

2. Which program is the best for you?

I use Paint Tool Sai, because it was really easy to learn how to use the program and was directed at drawing. I actually did my first drawing on photoshop, but for some reason pen pressure never works no matter what I do, so I only use it to give drawings transparent backgrounds and to play around with colour balance on paintings.

3. Do you prefer to draw traditionaly?

I prefer to sketch traditionally - I recently get a sketch book and start drawing traditionally again after I didn't for a while. I like to do studies etc. in it rather than do them digitally, as I have much more control over pen strokes etc. I always recommend still doing traditional art as well as digital art! I stopped doing it for a while and I think my progression in improvement suffered because of.

4. Do you need any technical help?

I look for tips in tutorials and such - painting tutorials and colour tutorials in particular - after all, it is the easiest to learn from other people's work! I like to look at people's work and take aspects from them - such as colours, brush strokes/techniques and it's incredibly useful when I want to improve my own work and try new things. I fully recommend other people doing the same! It's good to look how other people do things, and helps you improve.

well i've been drawing my whole life, so i don't know what you mean. But i got interested when i found out tfm, then forums, then the fanarts section.

2. Which program is the best for you?

Well umm i've been using sketch and paint, then found out it wasn't right for me , then i used dAmuro and i started drawing with that for a while, then i found out it's not very easy to use and the tools and use to use and it's pointless, so i went back to sketch and paint. I used it more and more, then i found out how to work with it, and that's what helped me most. I now use sketch and paint, it's actually better then dAmuro {in my opinion}

3. Do you prefer to draw traditionaly?

um i don't draw much on paper... but i like to do it digitally {however u spell} because i can't draw good on paper.. but one day i'll try e-e

4. Do you need any technical help?

not really ;o; but i wanted to use something else then sketch & paint, like gimp. but it won't let me download because i "have old version of windows" or "need to log on administrator acc"

Drawing has always been among my many favorite hobbies. I have always strived to make my art better than it had been previously. I was inspired to draw when I was around 7-8 or so, but have never taken it seriously. As for Transformice fanart, I was inspired by many of the "well-known" Transformice artists(Vulli, Sabusha, Spinnando, etcetc) and because of the amazing, digital art that they posted, I decided to buy a tablet last year, in late December.

2. Which program is the best for you?
I personally prefer Paint Tool Sai because of it's simplicity over other art/drawing programs.

3. Do you prefer to draw traditionaly?
No, although it's a whole lot easier to draw on. I like how when drawing digitally, you get to erase a line with the click of a few buttons and to also conserve resources. I also enjoy having vast amounts of brushes and colors to choose from.

4. Do you need any technical help?
Nope, not that I know of anyway.

You can always set the background to forum colour,it is a good subsitute for transparency.
