Ok, first thing, I think that when the text bar fills up in chat, it should move over with space needed, not start a whole new line of chat bar, making it look like the previous text was lost. Second, the [Room]: ever-present text should be removed, and should just have the button to navigate between chat categories. Any suggestions about new topic? Post here! c: G'day...

I don't think people are that simple-minded. They should know that once they've reached the character limit, you wont be able to type anymore. Once the chatbar moves, they should know that it didn't delete the previous text. Why would the mods implement that?
Also, [Room] : Helps people who always type in the wrong chat. :P

I agree that the empty line of the chat bar can be confusing.
As for the [Room] :, it should be replaced by a small icon or a letter. Or maybe the "[Room] :" field and the message field should be separated. The way it is now, it just looks strange.
