Recently I have felt that more players are considering this game like a dating site, they just go room to room asking ''Who wants to be my girlfriend say I or whisper'', that happens much more in ES than in EN but it is becoming a common thing in EN too.

So I want to hear some opinnions here about Long distance relationships, for example if you really care about them, do you worry about them, are they doing good or bad., does that actually work, etc...

Ok i said this in Es so I'll say the same...

In my opinion i think online dating in a virtual game like Transformice is a dumb thing to do. but then again we all have choices we can make and please respect that. im not saying you should do it but if you want to do it go ahead. Also because you don't know who the other person is so you don't know if they lie or anything like that. but like i said we respect each others opinion.

I know it's bad to generalize, but I'm convinced that the large majority of people asking for such things in public chat are in fact kids. They're not out to get an actual relationship with someone, but are purely looking for someone in-game to call their gf/bf. There are plenty of games aimed at really quite young kids that allow for something like this and well, you simply 'look' better when you actually are 'occupied'.

Having said that, I also know of various examples where people actually 'find' eachother and start (long distance) relationships. However, those people do in general not match your description, that is, they were likely never spamming their needs in public chat.

There's retards looking for love on any online site.

But there's a difference between having a friend for a while online and growing together, and "who wnats to be my bf" being spammed in public chat.

Public things like this need to be reportable. It poses a security risk, children could fall prey to online predators, and it is also spammy and disruptive to chat.

This is a mouse game, not a dating site.

I didn't say my opinion at the beginning of the thread so here I go xD

At starting I was talking about the ones that spam the public chat just to have gf or bf randomly, as someone said above most of them are children, the thing here is that this can become a bit dangerous, when any random player says yes to his/her question the child will inmediately say his/her name, age, country, even school grade when the one that said yes can be a perverted or something (posibilities are low but it can be)

And you started to talk about the serious relationships, as someone said above long distance relationships are hard and one of them can just be joking or not taking care when the other one is taking it very serious, it is tolerable to have gf/bf but both sides have to be really responsable (wich is hard too), and if they have some luck and they feel a lot serious love they'll meet each other someday even when someone is from USA and the other from UK for example but that in my opinion would be 1 out of 1 million of long distances relationships

Honestly, I think this is bullshit. People are spamming constantly asking for people to be their boyfriend/girlfriend. This can be dangerous honestly. I have seen videos that people in Omegle tracks them down (by tricking them into being their bf/gf). This can really affect your life and you can be sexually harassed. I think this is just plain bullshit and they should stop.

Long distance relationships can be hard (like Gilcatmey said). This is just fucking bullshit, you don't even marry each other in the internet. Relationships counts on irl love, not internet. Also people ask to be their bf/gf just to look cool. That won't help you with anything.

Then you really have never dated anyone (online, or not) to produce such feelings. Whats wrong with two people who it would've been impossible to meet in real to find eachother on a game. Yeah, you win some you lose some and can walk away with a 'broken heart'. I say pick up the peices and try again, but don't get sexual or share important information (name, location, things like that) because there are preditors out there.

Everyone knows there are younger children on this site, and I fully agree they SHOULD NOT be asking in public chat for a boyfriend/girlfriend, as that will never, ever produce a meaningful relationship. 99% or more of people will never understand or fully give themselves in a relationship until they are in/past High School.

Don't online date if your too scared to take a risk, but even if you 'love' that person do not until your old enough to live alone (18 or older) to share personal information, and if the person your with doesn't respect your opinion to wait then they obviously don't care about the realationship.

I've had boys and girls asking me this and it gets so annoying lol. It an be ignored easily, but it's rather boring to go into a room and hear these 10 year olds devote their lives to a kid they've never met at all.

Who knows if they're even a kid? There can be peadophile situations but it's usually just those little kids pretending to be "bf and gf".
