Where the mice can turn into those shamans items (from vanilla, you know, those maps) and try to pervent the sham from reaching the cheese. They can turn into anvils, boxes, planks, etc and the sham(s) can use all of the sham items but thier skills will be disabled.

Another option is to have the mice able to use basic shaman objects but no nails.
