Share some random trivia and knowledge about Transformice, let's learn completely useless things about the game from oneanother!

I'll start it off with three things people might not know.

• Every vanilla map has a name as shown on the wiki.
• Vampires use a separate model, not a fur. This is why they can't do any of the emotes/other animations.
• Back and paw items are possible, were used in an event and can be got through the Module API's .look

I never knew that about the vampires, neat! :D

- You play as mice collecting cheese. In real life, mice like cheese.

- The name is a combination of the words transform and mice.

- Ever wonder why the cheese has holes in it? Are they bullet holes? No, it's swiss cheese, which has natural holes.

Actually, mice don't like cheese.

"As any pest exterminator or pet shop owner knows, mice don’t really like cheese at all and they’ll even actively shy away from certain types of cheese (they have a very sensitive sense of smell and certain cheeses give off odors that are repulsive to many types of mice)."

Actually, mice don't like cheese....

another funt fact that, rabbit doesn't like carrot.

- the hole graphic, includes a mouse there. This idea is from a fanmake uploading it on facebook.Originally the hole has nothing in there.

- from the graphic of grounds type, you can see a progress there. From the normal ground,it's only zooming in or out when you drag. But since the lava comes, when you drag,it use another way to fill in the content of graphic.

- there was a tfm offical forum, but with safety problem and was being attack from hackers occasionly, this forum becomes the new one to replace it.(the old one has more function than this one :/ )

Where do you come up with this from? Transformice forums have never been attacked by hackers, and that is not the reason why they switched to the new HTML forums.

That first point is wrong. There have been shamans since the game started, and the transform maps were added more recently (2012 if I remember correctl).

from my understanding from past conversations, tfm was created in 2010 and all maps were transform maps, therefore creating the name transformice, but it was boring and there werent many players so they innovated the shaman.

that was what i heard, from scattered conversations, but idk if thats true or not.

He's not talking about the previous in-game ones, but rather the one before that which was an online one kind of like the one we have now, Good old days, even though this is a nice replacement.

That completely false. Transform maps came long after everything else. The name did not originate from these maps, but rather the maps were created based on the name. Hopefully that clears things up a bit.

Lol Tom & Jerry got us all... Mice likes to eat almost anything, cheese is just not priority. And when you have mice rampaging at home, I suggest using fruit for your mousetraps. (Get rid of it in a humane way please!)

Ummmm. Kinda.
The original idea of the game was the mice were to turn into the shaman objects and guide the mice (hence the name), however they scrapped the idea and went for shamans instead. The maps came out for the second anniversary? Or the first, I forgot -- to celebrate the original idea. So it's a bit of both.

Here's some forum things most people don't seem to know that could come in useful.

You can show people how to use tabs on the forums by putting them inside an existing tab (if there's only one tab in your post it won't display the tab) so it doesn't parse.

[#Look Inside]

[#Like]Like[/#Like]
[#This]This[/#This]

[/#Look Inside]

You can make other BBCodes not parse by putting blank tags inside them.

[b[i][/i]]Like this[/[i][/i]b]
[b]Like this[/b]

Text outside of any chat tabs won't get displayed (go ahead, give this post a quote!).

Links can be coloured, but the [color] tag has to be inside the [url] tag, just like this one. Transformice

If you want to embed a YouTube video with the [video] tag, you have to change the link from
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR-ZizSctE4&feature=kp
to this
https://www.youtube.com/watch/v/vR-ZizSctE4&feature=kp

- «The Cheese Guardian», was a glowing blue title, which was given to people who gathered cheese the most.
- Guest accounts weren't able to get firsts, they would die if they entered the hole first.
