I suggest a simple add-on to all maps that shows the current record time for the map or the fastest the map has ever been completed which would look sort of like this.

I've already thought about how people would try to hack and try to get the best time unfairly so to get your time recorded as the fastest time, you would need at least 11 people in the room, much like firsts, for it to count in the first place. Then the time would need to be confirmed by a mod and since it wouldn't happen very often it wouldn't tax the mods a whole lot. Finally, there would have to be the best time possible as determined by the coders included and if someone gets a time better than that, the time is not recorded and a mod is alerted to possible hacking.

Feel free to give any more suggestions on how to prevent unfair record times because at this point that seems to be the only problem.

Mods can't know when a record is about to be set to be in that room... Can they?

No they can't know but I'm saying I mod would be alerted once a record is broken and would go to the room and based on the general reaction of the players in the room, he or she would be able to tell if the person hacked.

Holds a good point. I don't know how they would do it but I bet there would be a way.

I also think we should be able to see our fastest time under that so it would be like
current record:
and then
Your record: or Your fastest time:

That's a great suggestion, I didn't even think of that.

i think the mods confirming it is a bit too much, but i like this idea nevertheless.

no
im no tech wiz, but there are like 30,000 mice online averagely (40874 right now) and if each completed just 100 maps.. thats a LOT of memory right there. sure i dont know much on atelier801 but that much info will probably take up space.

This suggestion would be nice if it was a racing game, but guess what?
