yah but its not really pro if you can wj? some people lag. they cant. and why should you have to go first since you can wj? if youre really pro you can wj faster than the people who get the shams help

i guess its tradition of sorts to let the soloers go first but its not really valid since they are your saves.

you'll meet a bunch of different people in this game(and on the internet in general)

no matter how you act, there's always going to be at least one person who won't like you. the best thing you can do is just ignore them(there's an ignore list!) and enjoy yourself

it's not really likely that that person would be able to convince other people would /mort unless they really don't like you either, but maybe consider finding a new room to play in.

It has become tradition to let those who are capable of doing the map themselves do just that. Since they're more likely to get the first via actual skill.

Which is why you let wjers go first, before helping those who have to rely on the sham/luck to get to the cheese.

I really don't know why, but it's pretty much become like an unwritten rule to let soloers first, then build for the other mice.

The reason why it's become an unwritten rule is because it is better to let the rushers who can solo the map go first rather than either have them screw your build over or have your build screw them over. As a mouse who focuses both on firsts and saves, I can say that there's nothing more frustrating than getting screwed over because the Shaman wouldn't wait, and that overall you'll lose a minimal amount of saves from mice who think they can solo the map but can't, because in the grand scheme of things, every map that has a pit is a free deaths map.

The only time that it doesn't really actually increase your saves to wait before building is if someone does something insanely pro, like some serious wicked buttcamp stuff, but that's become way less common because WPs, LJs, and CPs don't really exist anymore.

What do you mean by WP doesn't exist anymore. There are maps that include WP and I still use it.

But for me I rather have saves than firsts.

The idea is fair play. Give people an equal chance to get the cheese first. Allow people who can walljump etc to get the cheese first then help everyone else who is straggling. If the time is passing and nobody can, you can ask if they agree to build, or you can tell them, after 1 minute passes, I start building. But this doesn't mean you'll simply teleport a random mouse to the cheese and then to the hole, that's not really building... If that's the only way you can get saves in the map, then I guess it's better than nothing, but you've already failed as the shaman and people will complain for sure. All this means you often miss the afk saves, but the afk players don't really deserve to get cheese anyway...
The only exception to all this are stat-padders. You are not bound by any moral rule to let them get cheese first before you build, in fact you should stop them from getting first, without obstructing other players, if you can. They don't play fairly so they can't really complain about fair play. They distract the shaman from building, they occupy precious revive spots for no reason and almost always, they troll and curse. In other ways, they make the game less fun and less productive for everyone else, so, if they complain about you building early, ignore them and voteban them.

As per Barberserk statement about padders, I would like to add that it has been years since we as players asked the admis to add the first ratio and the map completion ratio in game, and we always received as a response that "the profile would get too crowded" and at the same time the profile became over time a crowdy mess of badges, progression bars and an endless title list .

Was it really THAT hard to add a simple string into that mess with a first/rounds played ratio?

Being Malicious having misleading stats is what Admins want to keep happy the most toxic part of the playerbase. What is the point for me to struggle keeping a REAL 18% first ratio (which is a good one, not a pro one but still) when barely 5% first ratio padders have a better looking "PRO PROFILE" than mine simply because they keep dying in every map they cannot complete?

Is it really worth gamewise to have padders create a new account every other week to try to keep up with a pro loking profile rather than resolving this in the first instance adding the ratio so that it makes no point padding a profile all the time? This would have made way more less alt accounts to be created and more player retention IMHO.

Obviously all the problems in the community, stat-padding and such, can and should have been addressed by Atelier, ages ago. But we both know this is not going to happen.
