Hello there! I'm re creating my old thread forum titles to this!

The suggestion:
Simply, sentinels/admins will be able to give titles in the forums. They'll be giving it for reasons like contest/comps forum activness(?) and what they think is suitable. You will recive a message saying that you got a title. Then, once you press on your avatar, there will be a button called ''Titles''. Once you click that, you can chose what title you want from the titles you were given or you can press the button use my in game title or something like that. Sentinels can use HTML for titles, except of font size.

However, from my understanding of "what they think is suitable", do you mean that they can give out titles to people just because that certain person is known for having a specific trait? For example, a person may be known as being a player who responds to questions rapidly so sents/admins decide to give that person the title *Fast Fingers* (just an example heh). I feel like that would just lead to favouritism.
If that's the case, I just want titles strictly for competition winners, ingame titles and possibly activeness on forums (although that could encourage people to contribute to threads but not adding any real value to their posts.)

No, things like if you help out a lot in the forum, report threads posts and similair things to that. As I said, sentinels will just give it to people whom they think deserve it. Most likely there will be rules on titles, like if you want to get a title called, for example ''Clean'' this will mostly likely be a clean mute place or under whatever time of mute (adding all of it togthere) then, if the sentinels think this person doesn't deserve it anymore, they'll take it off.

But then other mice will grow jelly. Whitch isn't a bad thing in this case since it will also 'encourage them' to report threads etc..

I have been thinking about it, maybe not reporting threads and post as that will load to people reporting somebody for saying "Fuck, no" or something like that.I also meant people who create useful and helpful threads, help people around and things on that line.

I swear this has already been suggestion, let me try and find it

I like the forums because people don't really know you based on your stats or your titles or whatever, they just plainly see your avatar and get to know you from your personality. I feel like if this was implented people would be calling each other noobs and stuff like that (maybe)

They wont, most likely because everyone will have a title and it's not like a rank. It's just a randomzied title, I mean, sentinels will be able to give any title like a title called ''Just me''. And, how is this based on stats...

I said stats because if a title is something you have to work at, it's going to be like stats. If a title is based on a number of posts or activness, people are going to start spamming

First of all, where about did I say it's going to be based on posts? When I say active, I mean posting on a daily basis, which could only mean about 10 posts a day, which most people already do. It's not based on Stats... So it's like you saying if I won a map making contest and I got a title it will be a based on stats. No, it wont. Yes, it's something I worked for and I would deserve it.

Have you read the reasons to why they would giv out titles in this thread? If not, then do so, as this haves different purposes, for like map making and contests >.>...
