tooo bad i think some people are only limiting in the game and not in the forums in best forumer's contest i really though who i could vote if it was some months we always could get an answer with an second so discuss

There's some yeah. I'm not trying to be mean but it's obvious the quality of discussion has fallen over the years for various reasons. I still come and lurk but nothing interests me anymore.

I visit every now and then. I'm not sure if I was considered a "good quality" forumer, but I'm old as hell.

I have been using this forum since it was opened, and I still do, same with people like Haruhitastic, Epicshawty, Irishcow etc.

Even though the forum has lost most of its forumers like Admshumaker, Supereemory, Anto and people as such, it gets new forumers every time, which builds up then collapses, then again, then collapses again. Except of these ones that just can't stop using it an stay. Honstely, here I don't care who leaves and who joins, it's their life, they join and leave whenever they want to. Although, I don't see why you think there isn't any more good forumers, there are many and yes, there is quality in posts.

Antoinemaalo is busy with school and being a mod on CFM so that's why he's not around. He gave up on the forums last year.

Good forumers will generally make their appearences when there's an interesting thread or a worldwideweb argument :o

so what defines a "good" forumer?

As I said before, there's good reason to why you don't see very many "Good forumers" anymore and I'll try to list as many things in my opinion to why.

I'll start off by saying the quality of the current "generation" of forums is quite low so there's a critical lack of good discussions flying around. What you pretty much see in the discussion forums today is mainly questions about the player or misc discussion which is very great, very rarely a good discussion appears in the thread list and as said above good forumers will make their appearences when there's something decent worth discussing.

What caused all this low valued discussion to appear in my opinion (I've said it once and I'll say it again) is because of how easy it is to access the forums now, only having to hit a button to bring up this vast world of users which has a much different vibe rather then the in-game community that people don't catch on right away.

I'm not saying new forumers are bad here because most of them can bring a lot of potential to these forums but they should really learn at least the basics before deciding to make threads or post around because otherwise it'll mostly result in spam which no regular on this forum likes.

Another obvious reason why you may not see very many good forumers anymore is mainly because they've all either quit playing or just don't have the time to reply and just "lurk" around to get the latest jist of what's going on.

Other reasons could be related to above about how there's just a lack of quality now. There's always been a lack of quality on this forum but it's never been this bad in my opinion. I wouldn't call this subforum Discussions anymore but just an alternate subforum for Forum Games, at least that's what it feels like to me now.

I wouldn't really call this one a reason, but it also could be that some of the better forumers go un-credited for what they contribute to the community itself and are always over-shadowed by the people that are more known for posting around. This isn't really a big deal and again I wouldn't really call it a reason because if you're only posting here to be "popular" then you're doing it wrong.

I feel like this should be adressed as well but it seems as if this generation idolizes bad apples rather then good role-models, I'm not going to state names but anyone that has common sense about these forums will know what I'm talking about.

All in all, this is about the best you're gonna get out of discussions and this community for now. I've already given up hope on the situation ever improving though.

The concept "Good forumer" is very subjective, because you cannot give a clear definition of a Good forumer. Judging people as good or bad forumers is therefore wrong, because everyone has a different reason to use these forums.

If your goal is to have serious discussions with people, then you find good forumers those who join these serious discussions. If your goal is to find information about map making, you find good forumers those who write alot of informative posts about map making. If your goal is to create or find fan-arts, you find good forumers those who post alot of high quality fan-art.

In short, you cannot judge whether or not there are no more good forumers (or less). Someone who is a good forumer to you might not neccessarily be a good forumer to someone else. It all depends on the use and purpose of these forums.

i think those new people should really read the rules

There are lots of good fourmers. Its just yeah some need to read the rules first is all.

We have some really nice, helpful, friendly people here. Yeah, discussions are lacking; yeah, there's a lot more spam. But I think we're recovering from what was a lost a while ago.

Anyways, I do believe there are some good forumers here. Like Imma said, many are very friendly and help others out

I think different people have different opinions on what a "good forumer" actually means. Some may think people who post a lot are considered a good forumer. Some may think someone who posts only a little but everytime they post it's helpful is considered a good forumer. Aanyone who tries to be helpful, knows how to discuss topics, etc. is considered a good forumer in my eyes

This is a good forumer, in my opinion. I know there are good forumer's out there, but they seem scarce, but one day you will find one.
