#pictionary

Description
Pictionary is a simple minigame where the shaman is given a random word each round and have to draw the it. You can be as creative as you like when drawing a word, and that’s what makes it fun!

Mice then have to guess what the shaman is drawing within a certain timeframe, and whoever correctly guesses the word gets a cheese and the chance to draw in the next round! The words vary in difficulty, from something as simple as "cloud" to something as complex as "firewall" or "balcony".

It was developed by Squeekmouse and Shamousey and inspired by the previous versions of the game hosted by Melyticat, Maqqara and Moepl.

Rules
The rules for Pictionary are quite simple!

[(/)?list]
  • Do not attempt to crash maps! As a shaman, you’re kept off screen (via lua) to prevent you from spawning objects so hopefully this isn’t possible. Any behaviour significantly disturbing game play as a shaman is not tolerated.

  • Do not give hints for your current word before you’ve finished drawing it. If you can’t draw it well enough, make sure to !skip your turn or choose a new word using !new. A shaman should only ever give hints after they have attempted to draw their designated word.

  • Do not tell your word to anyone, whether it’s in room chat, whispers, tribe chat, or any other means. If you’re caught doing this, you can risk being banned from the minigame.
[(/)?list]

    Updates
There has recently been a major update to Pictionary, bringing several new features and tweaks. This includes new drawing tools, making things easier for map makers, and a lot more.

    [(/)?list]
  • New Drawing! This completely replaces the anchor spawning system from before, making it even easier to draw your words. This allows for curves, colours, different brush sizes, and a lot more that’s explained in more detail in the “Drawing” section below.

  • 200+ new words to draw.

  • Shamans in hard mode will now receive harder words to draw.

  • Map making is easier, there’s no longer the need for a shaman cage or a drawing space.

  • Translations for more languages.

  • Hiding your guesses from showing up in chat.
[(/)?list]

    Drawing
There has been a major overhaul to the drawing features. While you used to have to spawn anchors and arrows to make a dot, you now have to simply click - although there’s also a lot of other features.

As a shaman there’s more buttons displayed on the interface at the top-left of the screen, as seen in the image above. They can each be used to aid you in your drawing.

    [(/)?list]
  • [C] or !clear will clear the screen of any existing drawings.

  • [U] or !undo will remove the last stroke in the drawing. To undo a set amount of them, you can use the command !undo [number].

  • [•] or !tool brush will switch to the default brush tool, where simply clicking will place a dot.

  • [~] or !tool curve switches to the curve tool. This is used by clicking on 4 different points, which will create a bezier curve.

  • [o] or !tool circle selects the circle tool. Selecting two places, the first being the center of the circle and the next being the outside, will create a circle.

  • [|] or !tool line switches to the line tool. This creates a straight line between two points.

  • [+] and [-] can be used to change the brush size, along with the !brush [number] command, which can accept any number between 1 and 20. Not giving a number will restore the default brush size.

  • There is a palette of colours at the bottom-left of the screen that can be picked from. Clicking on one will bring up a wheel of similar shades.
[(/)?list]

    Commands
There are several commands you may find useful when playing the game. Some of these are available to everyone.

    [(/)?list]
  • !help brings up the help window, the same as the [?] button on screen does.

  • !staff brings up the list of Pictionary admins and helpers who you can contact if you ever have a query about the game or want to report someone for abuse.

  • !maps displays the list of current maps in rotation.

  • !link shows the link to this thread if you ever need it.
[(/)?list]

As a regular mouse, when you’re playing you need to guess what the shaman is currently drawing. To do this, you can use the following three commands, replacing “guess” with what you think the shaman is drawing. The last two won’t be displayed in room chat if you don't want others to see your guesses.

    [(/)?list]
  • !guess

  • ! guess

  • !g guess
[(/)?list]

Shamans have a few extra commands to help them play. There are several more commands available to use with the drawing tools that are listed under the “Drawing” section.

    [(/)?list]
  • !new selects a new word for the shaman to draw, in case the original one is too difficult. This command can only be used once per round.

  • !next and !skip can both be used to give up the current round immediately.
[(/)?list]

I dont know if you made the line tool less laggy but people could just spawn like 50 lines and crash people.

Anyone can see who the room helpers are using the !staff command. If there is ever someone trolling or abusing their shaman turn, players should first whisper a room helper that is online. Helpers are used to keep the game running smoothly by taking action against players that are cheating or disturbing game play. They also should be able to take reports of any bugs in the script and answer questions players might have about the game.

The helpers aren't required to spend a certain amount of their online time in the room, but we encourage them to play there frequently so players can get to know them (But it's up to you!). Their main use is to be online fairly often with their whispers enabled so they can be called by mice in the room to help prevent cheaters and things we can't effectively control with lua such as afk shaman loops.
