Hello, Haru here today with another rule change proposal that you guys probably won't like: I am proposing the removal of user-run contests in the Fanart section. There have been no less than twenty this year. ALL of them judged by almost the same people. Typically they're mismanaged drama-fests either because someone didn't like how they were judged, someone counted "points" wrong, or whatever. I'd like to bring your attention to the BR forums. To learn more, visit: Topic-481580 To make a long story short, all contests in the BR section are held by staff members. Not by random users, by staff members. I am especially enthusiastic about the possibility of more rewarding prizes. Winners could for example be shown on TFM's website (or put on their twitter/tumblr/etc), they've posted fanart there before. However, just requiring a contest to be cleared (more strictly) by a sentinel (but run by players) may also help bring down the drama and forum clutter, without adding workload to the other staff as well as without shutting down the few forumers actually capable of properly hosting a contest. Regardless, your solution would definitely be a big improvement to the existing situation. |

YESSS It'd be awesome if we could have a few people who are actually good artists and have any idea what to judge art on to hold these kind of contests and judge them :P i'm really just sick of seeing contests run by 11 and 12 year olds that go on from any time length between a couple days and several months and are completely disorganized and just filled with nothing that i'd even call art tbh literally there are people who hold like 3 contests at the same time AHHHHHHHH yes please please holy damn the brazilians are more advanced than us no offense |

/support 95% There are way too many people hosting contests and more of them are unorganized and confusing (this includes mine) and having staff hold contest is a much better idea. But some people who are better/older/whatever might want to run a contest and they could make it work properly (there are very few) and they aren't staff |
