My mouse keeps on dieing randomly without it even actually falling off

Perhaps you didn't move at all in one map, and if you don't move for a long period of time during the map, you will be morted automatically.
If thats not the problem then you're probably lagging too much that you don't really know where you're going to you fall off the map.

Yes, that is a long known bug that Tig is attempting to resolve.
