When going to the Ranks tab in Tribe, you options to edit right? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a mute option where it wouldn't let a tribe mate talk in tribe chat. Just to prevent spam or anything like that.

Not sure about this, but I think they have/are gonna to add something i nthe game so you can mute tribe chat, but I'm not sure about muting tribe members.

It's not muting the tribe chat, it's not allowing the tribe member to talk in tribe chat at all.

I ahve something to add,

So there should be a window that pops up and says "How long would you like to mute (Player)?"
Then you type in like

Hours: 10 minutes; 9
