Do you think there should be more mods? Do you feel a little tired of the hackers? What's your input on the general amount of Moderators online?

Notes:

Please do not banter about the mods in a rude fashion, this isn't to crit someone. It's about possibly needing MORE mods.

Maybe with the ad money they will hire new people. But usually the mods they promote quit because of how horrible the tfm community is.

The game is too client-side based and this is exactly why hacking is a thing. They take too much shortcuts to lessen the strain on the game servers and in the end open up gateways for hackers.

Mods enough, but no public ones. Mice have a hard time reaching them, and its hard to get issues dealt with.

I still see hackers not getting banned. Thus, more mods are needed.

I think it's safe to say there is a need for more mods, although the last batch of EN moderators are doing an excellent job at both responding to whispers and dealing with the hacker issue.

Moderators are all volunteers and don't get paid - the ad money will be put towards hiring new administrators/developers, not moderators.

It's been said by Meli herself that a moderator's original job was not to ban hackers. So I don't think we need more mods, but I think Tig needs to not drop the ball with the AHB.
(But more BR mods would be smart; like for god's sake they have less than EN)

There is a new for more mods but I feel like they have a lot of arbs still hiding. They probably don't need to add any new ones soon but promote their secret ones.

I think the word "original" takes precedence in this sentence, it's obviously a big issue now and something that they have to deal with. While the work Tig is doing with the AHB really helps out a lot with this, more moderators/arbs would help lessen the strain on existing ones and allow them to do more things oriented to the community - answering whispers and dealing with chat issues like xenophobic users instead of prioritising hackers.

If I'm honest, I'm getting a little bit (emphasis on little bit) tired of the "report anyway bc sekrit mods/alts" response when people say "there are no mods online to respond to my report wat do :(". It personally doesn't make me feel any less concerned about whether my report will be acted upon or not. Just my single cent on that.

Another thing: I know that mods are volunteers, have real lives, and all that jazz--but really, if your current mods can't deal with the current workload (which is pretty evident by the various feedback people have given), hire more mods.

The 'report because an arb might see it' response isn't even right, as arbs are only allowed to ban on sight (aka if they see a hacker in the room they play in, an ex arb told me this).

This ^
I report many players everyday and not for hacking, and I've only watched mods banning 2 persons by reports, one was me and the other one wasn't hacking either, it was hard to find the mod that banned me cos it was a private one, so yes we need more public mods.

Yes, there need to be more public mods. I haven't seen some mods online at all in a couple months like Verkon, Tetsuro, Devhyn, Amavauno, Fatpandas, Snarb, etc. I remember a couple mods being removed for being inactive like in summer. I know they all have lives or play other games or whatever, but these are just the inactive EN mods, there's a lot more in other communities as well. Some mods even disable their whispers because they have to handle so many whispers from other communities and their community, it starts to get overwhelming no doubt. I think more mods would benefit both players and the current staff to be honest.

Ama is actually quite active. When she's available she's on IRC and if you message her then she'll follow your report. And I see Verk in game as well.
