Stop right there. Just because no one is commenting does NOT all ALL mean no one is looking at your thread.
Why can't you just look but not comment? I don't see a problem in that at all.
Also these views does not insure "fans", people might click on your thread by accident.
I don't really need to know how many people are viewing my thread(s).

e: this suggestion might also cause complaining, even more then right now. It might also cause fights if you are able to see the number of views on other people's threads. Seriously. just, no.

I would full support if you were able to change the settings to where only you can see it or if others can also see it. As Kattiej said, I wouldn't like people looking at how many views are on my thread.
