Hey there,

Recently my ping is being super bad when before it was all fine, i did run a speedtest and i also dont have any problems running other games with a smooth connection either (i ran standalone as well as browser version in different browsers, i also got the latest adobe air). I'm just interested if i'm the only one experiencing this or if others may have the same problem..not sure if i should post this here but i'd really like to know..

Just for records my usual ping before was about 15-20 not higher, nowadays i get results like this:

Ping : 362 ms
Ping : 352 ms
Ping : 383 ms
Ping : 300 ms
Ping : 351 ms
Ping : 300 ms
Ping : 312 ms
Ping : 298 ms
Ping : 308 ms
Ping : 301 ms

The time it takes to change rooms or just load anything in general has increased as well (it might be my imagination) as far as i can tell.

I guess i might try on another computer to see if that works better.

Try refreshing transformice.
After that, type /watch Tobse. It makes your mice pink so you can concentrate more.
Click the wrench bar, and disable "Display other Mice's Outfits" and "Turn on Particle Effects"

"Display other Mice's Outfits" means that if you 'undisplay' that option, all mice will appear to have no items on. One of the reasons transformice lags because of all the outfits in the screen getting played over and over again. That can result to lag and plug in crashes.

"Turn on Particle Effects" is basically like confetti, the hearts when you go in(hole lag), bubbles when you die (death lag), and when you reach the cheese(cheese lag). Disabling this option will make those effects invisible and it will make less lag.

Yep, if none of these work^ you should change computers. xD

While i appreciate your help, i have never had any problems with my ping. I highly doubt it has to do with any effects. Thanks anyway

I might be having the same issue, except mine sometimes varies more. I use to get a steady 100-120 ms ping but now it won't be any lower than 160 (and its usually steady at 160-170 now..) and now it even sometimes will go 400-700 and will stay there.

The problem with my issue though is that I can't say the change wasn't on my end for certain, because it very well could be since I recently had my modem changed because we were getting random drops but that didn't fix it so our ISP changed some receptors in the telephone wires or something (i'm obviously not familiar with whatever they changed with wiring)

But yeah, I think I'm having a same problem. The changes on my end are now more reliable so I'm not sure whats up.

I went up from a steady 165ms to 305ms last night with no changes in my speed or usage from other users on my connection.

Because all of the TFM servers are located in paris, different from speedtest servers

I did hear about them moving servers somewhere else before, but that was way before this problem occured, so it shouldn't have to do with that (maybe it's not even true i don't even know). I'd really like this problem fixed though :/..

Edit: after valentine's update the ping issues are mostly (now got ping like 40-90 so its fine) fixed (though i'd like if tig or anyone actually said anything to this...but oh well at least its gone)
