So..when I play the game, the maps are plain. It is like for ice, it is just a plain light blue. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. I mean, it is REALLY annoying as I like when there is detail in the game. There are no trees or anything. Help?

This means you're in minimalist mode. Being in minimalist mode transforms all grounds into simple coloured squares and will also remove all decorations. To fix this, simply go to settings and make sure "minimalist mode" and "automatic optimizations" isn't ticked.
