Synopsis

Transformice was a lighthearted, peaceful world. The mice who lived there lived easy lives; simple lives, gathering cheese and hanging out with friends. However, despite it's simplicity, it was a fun world, and the mice enjoyed themselves, chatting and testing their skills in the ever-changing maps. Among all the mice was a tribe, unknown to everyone. It was a tribe of closely knit friends, who banded together during tough times for themselves. The tribe, called "The Outsiders," was named as such for good reason. The mice in the tribe were all picked on or thought of differently one way or another; maybe they had a bad backstory, or maybe they were a bit quirky in general. They met each other and got close quickly, sympathizing with one another; that sympathy turning into a real, blessed friendship. They all cared about each other highly. And together, despite being outsiders, they were able to enjoy life just like everyone else, even if the others didn't believe that.

Then, one day, everything turned upside-down, and they didn't expect it. Not in the slightest.

From seemingly nowhere, a "virus" spread throughout the Transformice world at a rapid rate. Sometimes it simply caused the transparencies of objects and mice to change, but it began to get to the point where maps were being eaten up, things were disappearing, and mice were getting sick. After that, the rooms and communities would grow ever more corrupted; mice dying eternally when falling down the void below the maps, never to return, or shamans going completely insane with new powers. The world was quickly panicked, with seemingly no end to the onslaught of glitches and insanity. The peaceful world was wrecked, and beneath it all, "The Outsiders" lived, and when no one else stood up to the challenge, they decided to find the source of the virus, and maybe, just maybe, stop it at its roots.

Heeyyy everyone, Kiki here! You guys may or may not know me from my art thread, but probably not since I'm really bad at socializing with all of you. xD I decided to make a story [although quite a cheesy story] for all of you to enter your characters into, because why not? I thought it would be fun, and definitely improve my writing to work with different personalities and such. I am making a seperate thread for this because this story will have chapters, and I need people to post their mice for characters, sooo... Yeah, that's all, really. I hope you all enjoy this story~ :D

Some Background Info for the Story
Let me explain how the Transformice world works in this story. Rooms and communities exist, as well as different modes, just like in actual Transformice. All the mice that are born are magically born with tablets; they are like a part of the mouse, and can be summoned from the mind and do not need to be carried around. This is where any mouse can alternate between modes and rooms. The maps are a 3-D space, of course, but there are still edges of the maps, and if you fall off, you lose consciousness and regain it next map. It usually feels like a split second. However, unlike the games in this story, there will be towns and places outside of the rooms; they just can't gather cheese. These places consist of a main town, the district where tribe houses are, as well as forests and other natural habitats. Mice can switch between rooms and these places at any time with their tablets. Also, mice are immortal. They do not die, unless of course the "virus" causes them to die. Otherwise they respawn as normal.

Character Information/Form

Alright, so here are all the characters so far in this story. If you want to submit a character, please, PLEASE look over the rules first and follow them, or else your character won't be accepted. The rules are there for a reason. Also, make sure the character you want to go for is still available before setting up a whole character for the spot. xD The open spots are below the two main characters. Sorry, I wrote a lot!

First Main Character//Leader of the Tribe - Blind [Kiyokichan]
"What is life without a little love?"



- Male, 18 years old

- Blind, despite his calmer appearance, has a fiery and humorous personality. He loves to be around his friends, and he loves running around and having fun. He is very sarcastic and occasionally a bit crude, but he is always trying to be funny. He loves making his friends laugh and he loves seeing their smiles. Sometimes his jokes can be quite sarcastic, but his friends understand that it is all just fun and games, although other mice may be offended at first. He loves it when his friends are happy, but he cannot stand having them be sad. He understands them, and has some level of sympathy, but he never really knows what to say to them and how to help. He is scared emotionally in that respect, and often gets freaked out if he can't get his friend to cheer up. Otherwise, he is usually a brave soul; almost a bit too daring to the point where he is rash and can get himself in trouble.

- Blind always had supportive parents, but his parents were very poor and unable to gather cheese well. Blind had to support for the family, but always kept his head up high, trying to please everyone he could. He had many acquaintances for many years, but never a close friend, until he met Crystalline at the age of 14, when she was still 12. It was hard at first, breaking into her shell, but Blind would do anything to make anyone smile, and his perserverance eventually got to Crystalline, and they became friends. After about a year of knowing her, they had saved up enough cheese to form a tribe, and Blind swore he would find more friends for both of them. What's life without a little love?

- Blind always had bad eyesight. It ran in the family; part of the reason his parents could not gather cheese. Eventually, after a few slow years, he was able to save up enough for one of them to get glasses, and his parents said it would be the best for him, so he got them for himself. He has to wear them at all times, or else things are blurry and out of focus.

- Blind is more into gathering cheese than anything else. He is willing to be the support for his friends if needed, and he loves running around and feeling like he has a purpose.

- Blind is an outsider because he says things hastily and can often offend other mice quickly. Also, while he is sympathetic, he has a hard time being supportive on an emotional level, which throws some of the other mice off.

Second Main Character//Co-Leader of the Tribe - Crystalline [Kiyokichan]
"Maybe if you look a little harder, peer a little closer, then you'd see the real me..."

- Female, 16 years old

- Crystalline is a quiet, thinker mouse. She is also more serious, and she only tends to talk when she has something meaningful to say. She is also an introvert, and does not open up to people easily. It will take a long time to get to know her. Most other mice stay away from her shyness, as it is hard to break through, but mice who take the time to get to know her will find that she is caring and very empathetic, however also very anxious and sensitive. She will worry about things and bottle them up inside, but she cares about her friends deeply, and will do anything to help them, even if it means sacrificing her own sanity.

- Crystalline was abandoned soon after birth and friendless for quite a while. This formed her serious attitude. She learned how to live without others around her, and also learned how to maneuver and function by herself. Her memories of her parents are long since faded, even though she was sure that she had them for at least a few conscious years. It was like her mind was trying to block out her memories for whatever reason. Her only friends were her thoughts, up until she met her current best friend, Blind. They met in one of the vanilla rooms while Crystalline was still learning how to maneuver. Crystalline kept trying to avoid his fiery personality, but eventually they found they were perfect opposites, and opposites attract, right?

- Crystalline wears a mask because she feels it hides some of her expression, like her eyebrows. She doesn't like giving away her feelings to others when she doesn't want it.

- Crystalline loves singing and music. She often is listening to music when she is alone. Art and writing are also great to her, but nothing is better than music.

- Crystalline is an outsider because of her personality, and because of the mask she wears, which differs her from other mice who are usually all for making friends.

Senior Member of the Tribe - Makiu [Wingedmousie]
"The only true way to solve your problem is to kill the problem."



- Female, 23 years old

- Makiu used to be a kind soul, until the virus came around. The infection, slowly crawling into her, had begun to deteriorate her personality, as well as her care for living things. She could be seen as rough and obnoxious, but she still tries to hang on for her tribe. Along with her now rough personality, some of her more natural emotions have disappeared, and as a result she is more willing to kill mice with the virus if need be. As a result, the tribe depends on her a lot, but they still are worried about the virus intake she already has. Hopefully, they'd be able to stop the virus before it consumes Makiu, and of course, the world around them.

- Makiu is an outsider because she refuses to gather cheese for herself, and has to depend on others to get food for her. She could be seen as lazy or "different." Along with that, her ever-worsening personality puts her in a bad spot.

- Makiu has horns that were mutated into her as she was developing.

Younger Member of the Tribe - Alazne [Beaglelovelp]

** She might have a black and orange scarf when she's scared, and her moontail is shiny; DON'T TOUCH IT!

- Female, 10 years old

- Alazne is a very shy young girl. She is shy to the point where she won't even look at others in fear of being judged or differentiated. It's not surprising, based on her past. She fears others, but will only be brave when it means saving someone else; because she is kind underneath her shyness, and she wants to prove she can be a good mouse. Her moods will switch rapidly from happiness to anger to sadness to anxiety, and while sometimes she's too shy to show it, mice who know her well will be able to tell.

- Alazne has an eyepatch to cover up the space where she lost her eye when ran over by a cannonball. Otherwise, she was usually picked on as a child due to being an orphan. The tribe took her in when they found her alone, barely having anything to eat in one of the towns. Since then she's a bit less shy with her friends, but is still trying to work into it.

- Alazne really likes cookies.

- Alazne is an outsider because of her personality and being an orphan.

Younger Member of the Tribe - Spirit[Fluffyclaw]
"The only way to find paradise is to follow the shooting star."



- Female, 10 years old

- Spirit is a caring mouse. Despite her backstory, she believes in good in the world, and she wants to make everyone as happy as she can. She is also hyper sometimes, and tends to be silly, but at the same time, always optimistic. She can really be the light in the tribe, and will do anything to help her friends, even if she is a bit naive or not understanding sometimes. She is also artistic, and loves nature and the beauty of the world around her. Nature is the most amazing thing to her, and she'd rather by lying in the grass in the sun all day than be stuck inside. Spirit appreciates everything that the natural world gives her, and sometimes prefers to sit back and enjoy it all than run around in the heat of things.

- Spirit's parents were not very understanding of her. They thought her obsession with nature was dumb and that she should be learning how to collect cheese instead of daydreaming all the time. They also thought she was a bit of a lunatic because of what she believes in; a belief created by her own mind. When she was little, she often saw shooting stars outside, and would look out and watch for them for a long time. Searching for something to place her hope in after the disapproval of her parents, she began to believe that the shooting stars led to paradise, wherever they shot off to. Her life is based around this hope for a paradise, and she still watches the stars in hope that one day, she'll be able to spend the rest of her life with nature and her friends, and no one else but them in the paradise that the stars may lead to.

- Spirit got into the tribe around the same time Alazne did. She is a good friend of Alazne, and one of the only ones Alazne really opens up to. Their similiar age and Spirit's optimistic nature really fits well with her. She met Crystalline while in the vanilla rooms one day, and Crystalline, open to her personality, let her in.

- Spirit is an outsider because of her obsession with nature and her strange belief in the paradise. She is treated as strange because of what she made up, and is sometimes bullied for it. However, the belief in the paradise drives her forward, and she still manages to be optimistic.
