If one soulmate is still on the 3, 2, 1 countdown and one soul already started moving, the string extends until the soul on the countdown starts.
It creates kind of like a slingshot which fires one soul and gives them an un-fair speedboost.

I'll try to get a screenie, but only happens sometimes. :P
