Hello everyone, Since Boumboum appeared I'm having major ping increase (300-400 ping) in Transformice which means the game responds alot slower than it normally did (40-70 ping). I've been asking around, some computer know-alls think it has something to do with the path between my internet and the transformice server having changed. Something about a point in between that may have disappeared so my signal has to take a whole way around to the server, which takes alot more time (260 to 360 milliseconds more). You can imagine that, when I'm trying to make a first in a racing game that comes down to tens of seconds and my signal takes 0,26 to 0,36 seconds longer than the rest to tell the server I made it to the hole I will Never be able to get a first. Is it maybe possible that Boumboum has caused that? And is it maybe possible that it is a different issue? Eitherway, can it somehow be fixed? Because I can't compete in the game anymore, and that ruins half the game for me. I've been a member since 2010. Help me please. :( Thanks in advance! Edit: Sometimes I do have only ~25 ping in certain rooms (This is really rare, and changes randomly), I'm lead to believe that it depends on who the sync is. Could that even be fixed? Could I get permanent sync-status for example that I am always the sync in every room? Just a crazy idea. |

From what I'm understanding, you are experincing lag. Bouboum has been added and removed from Transformice not too long ago. But from what I'm also comprehending, Transformice is lagging and non-responsive just like Bouboum, am I correct? Sometimes due to the increase of players and everything, your ping may rise due to the amount of lag that is flowing through the game. Which causes issues through-out gameplay. a dit : Bouboum is seperate from Transformice. If I remember correctly, Bouboum and Transformice have two different connections to the satellite server. The gameplay (or movements) can slow down the connection between your connection to the server, causing a slow and drafty preformance. My suggestion is that you try moving to different rooms with less amount of players and see if your preformance changes throughout time. a dit : As my memory drags on, it's actually not the ping that depends on the sync, it's the gameplay and satellite server's connection that depends on the sync. If you experince 25 ping, your connection is perfectly aimed at the Bouboum server's connection. But are you experincing slow preformance in the gameplay? That is all I can think of right now. |

I've been having the same problem. TFM has been running much laggier and my ping ranges from the common 125 to as high as 535. :/ |

@Pawgold Both Transformice and Boumboum have high ping. The game is no fun if I have to search 5 minutes for a room with normal ping, which sometimes is not even present, of all the normal and vanilla rooms in the game. Hm.. |

Pawgold a dit : I've tried this but the ping is the same in those rooms. It goes from 250 to 550, no matter the amount of mice. But yesterday I found one server that had only 27 to 43 ping. But that is, as I said, really rare. |

With the satellite servers messing up recently, it's possibly related to that. All you can do is wait for the game to resolve it if that's the case. |

I've been messing around and have found a reasonably reliable way to tell if it is something to do with your network or the server causing a high ping. Type /ping Then, Run (windows + R), type cmd, then "ping 62.210.16.2". The ping IP there isn't the transformice server, which blocks ping requests, but is in the same building as the transformice servers. So for me today, I get: [14:45] [•] 163 ingame and Reply from 62.210.16.2: bytes=32 time=23ms So there is probably an issue with one of the servers. Changing communities shouldnt affect your ping, but changing rooms may do. |

Yogiibear a dit : [•] 374 ingame (Depends alot on the room) Reply from 62.210.16.2: bytes=32 time=25ms Yogiibear a dit : The fact that it is so drastically different per room already shows that something is unusual. |

Did someone do something? Because I get 25-40 ping rooms much more frequently now, since my last post. If so, awesome, thanks! Hope it keeps going this well! |

There had been issues with satellite servers, I imagine they started new ones up?~ o/ Glad it's resolved. |

Haruhitastic a dit : I doubt that this can ever be resolved as it can just come up again. After a few good days of 20-30 ping, this evening I'm getting 270-300 ping again in every room. Today I did log in to Boum Boum to see how my ping was there and it was about 300 aswell. Could it be that I messed all the good ping patterns by logging in to Boum Boum? :b I hope this worse ping is only for tonight... Time will tell! |

Kougoes a dit : No; Bouboum's servers are unrelated to Transformice's. Unfortunately at this point I don't know what to say outside of hang in there ;~; |

I guess I'll just stop playing transformice till it's fixed :( |

I get a ping above 100 but I'm not laggy, TFM isn't laggy, the ping is just wrong |

Another thing to clarify. Your ping may be raised due to the events and the amount of mice and graphics passing. Try moving to minimalist mode, or remove mice's clothing and left click (if you are on a browser or baffler's standalone.), then go to quality and click low. |

This thread is completely unrelated to any of this. It has to do with the satellite server issues mostly. |
