Anyway, I can see the profile pictures of the people in my tribe, but only through the tribe menu. Any ideas on how this occured and how I can fix it? (I'm using the standalone, but I checked online and have the same problem.)

Yes, I mostly use the standalone but I checked on the website and had the same problem.

Ummm that's odd. If it was just standalone it's because (and Sydoline confirmed) AIR can't show images.
Clear your cache and report back with results for the browser?
