This is a known bug, I'm experiencing it mostly on #deathmatch.
Sometimes due to lag some people's browser/game thinks that you have died, but still accepts server data that lets you move, cheese, hole, etc.
On the next map the person is visible again.
Note that he/she might be visible only for some people with better computers.

On bootcamp you might need to rejoin room, dunno.
