The amount of bots and spammers is getting ridiculous. In EN. 1 i cant go to a room with out hearing " Go to www._____.com download transformice hacks, virus free!" Its not only harming the game, its harming innocent players who do not know the dangers of downloading hacks and often end up with malware on their system.

Today I saw 3 bots spam the chat. Yesterday i saw 2. Please, do something admins.
Not once have i seen a game so plagued with spambots before.

Report+ban+ignore doesn't always help, as bots can automatically obtain a new IP after having one blocked by their script.

Please do something. I want to enjoy this game.

why would kids spam these links? i mean what's the benefit for them?

To phish passwords, get players to visit their pirate servers, spread their cheats, etc. All sorts of things.

Maybe disabling http:// and www. links in the chat would help

Played others games that got a censorship like that, but isnt that hard to bypass it. They just spam the links with 3w(dot)example(dot)com

So its pretty hard to get rid of this problem, unless mods (or after a lot of players reports) keep adding this messages to the censorship database manually.

10 cheese is quite an easy amount to earn, I don't really think it'd do much. I think maybe if they targeted the spammer's IP in direct so it'd be banned making it less likely for them to make a new account without a different computer, but I'm not sure how much THAT will help, just a suggestion.

We've done several updates to make it harder for bots to spam. Sadly it hasn't been enough but we are not giving up. Tigrounette is well aware of the situation and I can assure you that we're doing our best to get rid of this problem.

That's the point. Easy enough for new players while still having to waste the spammer's time since they use new accounts with 0 cheese just for spamming. Assuming 2 minutes per round that's 20 minutes wasted.

Two words: Dynamic IP.

There Not really Bots anymore there are codes such as ALT + 255 (THAT DONT WORK IN CHAT)

Like Papernaruto said limit how many links they can post. Or maybe if you earn 100 cheese you can post them or if you've bought fraises.

As a member of a forum which has recently(past year) assosiated itself with transformice hacks and other transformice bad stuff, I can confirm there are spam bots, a script was released a few weeks ago to spam messages on transformice. Private server owners are using the script(written in Python #yay4python) to advertise their servers.
