I know there's a suggestion similar to this one, running Lua in private rooms. But that's only for playing with your friends. And now here's a problem. When you get a new idea, you probably need to make a new map for it. So, you need to build the map, go to the tribe house and test it there. If something doesn't work, you need to go back and fix it. And this repeats until everything is perfect (about 10 to 20 times for me) And now, I got an idea. Running Lua in Map Editor. This way you would instantly know where's the problem and fix it right away! And since the new developer is here, I assume it wouldn't be a problem if they accept this suggestion. |

The map editor runs client-side while scripts have to run server-side, so this would probably be difficult to implement. |

You can test the map inside the map editor? I'm confused as to how lua would help in any way |

Xarrj a dit : Some people make maps for just lua minigames, and if there were something like, say, a cannon spawning in a certain spot from the lua, then the person would have to take that cannon's position into factor with the map, making lua in the map editor would allow the person to not have to keep switching between tribe house and map editor. |

Themousenn a dit : Pretty much ^ I agree with this, especially with the new modules in the gamemode, which will definitely attract more attention, this could definitely help those trying to make module maps. |
