They mean add something that tells you the person read your whisper or w/e. Not all suggestions have to be detailed :/

If your point is to see if someone has read it then it would not be that effective. If it is in the chat box, the computer can not really tell if that person has ACTUALLY read it.

this isn't a phone, how the f*ck would it work? even if the person was afk, the message would still be in the chat box, so it would always be seen as 'read'
plus, why? If they don't want to talk, leave them alone
