Did you download anything that you are running while playing transformice. Ctrl + Shift + Delete for task manager to view your cp usage

Doesn't it have to deal with connecting the person to your friends list and shit, not just random lag..?

What browser do you use? If you use chrome click the 3 line thing in the top right and then click about google chrome, it will check if chrome is up to date and if not automatically update.
FireFox / Internet Explorer : Goto http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ uncheck "yes install McAfee" and then press install now. Follow the instructions and the newest flash will be installed.
If that doesn't fix your problem you can try downloading the standalone and use that, which might help.
To download the standalone

Click the button inside the red square, follow the instructions and then once finished you will see

on your desktop, you can then just play as normal.
