So, lets say you wanted to host a area where you could only play certain stages, or maybe just have your friends?
I'd like to propose: Party mode!

First, you'd want to pick what game mode you want to play in.
The options would be the major game modes (Normal, Vanilla, Music, Survivor, Racing, Bootcamp and Delfilante)
Second would be who is invited.
You can choose to invite either everyone or friends only or only yourself
Third would be extras.
- Maybe you can select which types of maps you want to play?
- Maybe you can slect whether you're allowed to play videos?

Joining a party:
Friends only:
If you're friend is in a party room, they would have 3 balloons by their name. If you can join them, you can press the arrow, as you would following a friend.

Free for all:
In the game mode, there would be a selection for party mode. A window would come up, showing all the free for all partys/friend parties (friend parties would be in green). Clicking on the party you want to join, then another window appears with the details, then the option to go/not go
(I'll take other suggestions from this)

Problems:

- People can grind in these rooms
Solution: Prehaps cheese, saves and firsts don't count in this mode?
