I don't think these are very good ideas. Your first idea defeats the purpose of ignoring someone. When you ignore someone, you don't want to hear anything from them any longer. This is used a lot for spammers, for people hating/flaming etc.. What's the point in ignoring a spammer when you instead constantly get the "attempted whisper" message? Likewise, why would you go to the tribe house of someone you've ignored? The more common reaction is to want to stay away from people you ignore, not join them in tribe house. However, the first idea seems pretty harmless compared to the second idea. If you tell someone you've ignored them, they know exactly when they have to switch accounts in order to continue harrassing you. This would only help the people that got ignored with doing whatever it is that got them ignored in the first place! All in all neither of these ideas seem useful to me and in fact they would seriously weaken the current /ignore functionality. |
