| You seem to be bent on wanting things people have spent a lot of time working on to be deleted. I said something similar to this on the account deletion thread, and I'll say it again. If the tribe is completely empty, I feel like this would be justified, but I don't think it would be fair to delete something someone spent a lot of time making. |

Cheeseop a dit : That is why there is different ways of doing something, think of it like this, is the maker of a tribe leaves, and no one is ever on, all the members are unranked or have low ranks, then what is the point of it still being around? |

| Okay, in this specific situation, I see where you're coming from. But what if the tribe is small and none of the members can play at all during the school year or something like that? |

Cheeseop a dit : Agin, this is just a idea, it does not have to be the exact way I specify it. So if you dont like that idea, then maby change it up. |

| I half support because I have made tribes before that I know others want to have now. I have no accounts in there so I can't just give it to them. (You know like LostClan) Not auto delete though. Edit: Well it was only LostClan. I haven't made a lot of tribes. Dernière modification le 1403325000000 |

| My thoughts towards this idea are similar to your username pruning suggestion. I think it could work, but not in the way you currently worded it. Mostly I'm against deleting tribes that still have people in it, even if they're inactive. My main problem with reclaiming tribe names is that tribes have always cost someone 500 cheese. Unless a player's completely addicted, that can easily take you a week to get. I'm not sure if TFM databases keeps track of who pays for creating a tribe, but if this is logged somewhere, I'd like to see some sort of "money back" system in case a previously used name is taken over. Also, since some tribe names have been very popular in the past (but abandoned since), it might be a good idea to raise prices on second hand tribes. This could work as an incentive to make sure the tribe doesn't die again. If a tribe keeps dying and consequently being reclaimed people would only get confused. Incrementing the price for specific names every time it's being reclaimed could slow or even stop this from happening. Just like with your username pruning idea, reclaiming a tribe name should reset every bit of data about the old users of the name; greeting messages, custom ranks, private tribe threads should all be cleared before new use. This might not be so easy to do automatically, but I do think it's a requirement for this idea to work properly. In conclusion, I think this is more complicated than pruning usernames..still, eventually it will be needed. |
