I think there should be the option to delete your mouse forever. I don't know why I just thought of this.

Why not just request a perm ban?

Then if someone hacks your account he can delete it. Besides you might regret after deleting, and it's not really useful because if you quit the game it shouldn't matter to you if the account is deleted or not.

Personally I think this is a good idea. Sometimes when people quit using a service, they also no longer want to be associated with it. This is problematic for people that use the same user name on many sites. It'd be nicer for them to be able to delete their user name here rather than to have to rename the rest.

However, there should be several security measures involved before any deletion should take place. Several other websites have used all sorts of security measures that in combination tend to work well. I'm talking about captcha's, security questions, email and phone validation etc. etc. Which of these are needed here is up to the admins.

In the end though, it's unlikely that this will happen; for Atelier801 it's more profitable to keep accounts intact so that players may at some point return for whatever reason.

I agree with Lemodile that it's unlikely to happen, but I do like the idea. Security questions are a good idea to keep accounts safe. Overall I like the idea.

And what would be the change?
If you aren't using it anyway, it is the same as deactivation. In facebook, it disables notifications e.t.c, but what would it disable on transformice?
No.

No.

Well it would be a big waste just to leave your account, mice would want atleast a username that isn't stupid like Yomama or something. Deleting the account would open the name for another player to use. But you guys have a point so.. /half support

That doesnt even make...
Deactivating the account doesnt even help your case of "it prevents mice from having to use usernames like yomama"
