I doubt it, even the random letters are more than likely taken.

No she didn't... you can check Transformice stats on Cheeseformice, and you can see there's 50 million accounts made. And with simple math you can find that there's 17,000 combinations of 3 lettered names.

3 letter combinations, 26 letters in the alphabet, 26x26x26=17 576 combinations of 3 letter usernames. It's all math
CFM claims TFM has 50 000 000 acounts

Meaning there is a very small number of 3 letter usernames that are within the account count.

e: Also, some time ago when I was asked this same question, I'd try and insert any 3 letter username into search and everything I searched for was already registered.

The funny thing is, out of those 17576 players only a handful still play. We're an endagered species.

I own the account Fph but never use it. I think that might be why. Also, three letter names must've been made in 2010/11, so they probably quit.

There is many players who have played less that 10 rounds : Aaa (0 rounds), Aab (2 rounds), Aac (3 rounds), Aae, Aah, Aak, Aal, Aan, Aap, Aaq, Aas, Aaw ... And I didnt find any untaken name, but i'm sure there is... At least one xD

What's even more funny is that most 3 letter names were taken and never used. Just taken so that others couldn't use them.
