When playing videos in my tribe house recently, my fps will decrease substantially. I'm using a pretty strong computer and have decent enough internet. Fps seems to suddenly drop and relogging seems to fix the problem. I know a few others who have also experienced this problem. This lag problem affects both the video streaming speed and game fps. :/ The lag seems to stay even after leaving said room to a non-video/music room.

I'm using the official standalone for mac. Macbook pro 2.7 ghz processor 4 core 16 gb ram 750 gb storage on comcast internet if details are needed.

I think, its a problem with you. Maybe, you're in safe mode or you have slow connection.

If John had a slow connection then wouldn't the video buffer, not the FPS of the game drop?

I asked Tig and he said the issue is probably not related to the game itself. He also explained that he can't really know where it comes from because videos depends on way too much things.

I used to have this issue before. Haven't had it happen in a long time. The video would sometimes make the whole rendering of tfm clog up, with fps going down to 5 or 10. I'm not aware of how tfm is built exactly but I think it only affects a specific thread, the one that runs box2d, because I remember the UI (at least chat box) still worked absolutely fine. The only fix was to refresh the client.

I have this problem too, my computer is strong to play games with 60fps but when a certain amount of videos get played the fps drops

I have the same problem.Whenever in deathmatch while playing videos lag alway's come's in for like 3 seconds.
