What's your opinion about the forums?

I started playing Transformice on February 24, 2011. After the forums moved to in-game, I started to become known on them. Something we called, "Forumers". That is what we considered ourselves, and so did the other members of the community. I guess you could say forumers were popular. On December 23, 2012 I officially quit TFM. I came on maybe once every couple of months to check out the new updates. I've recently started playing Transformice regularly, but came to the realization that all my friends no longer play the game. I don't see any of them on the forums.

In your opinion, are there still forumers? I wouldn't know because I've just came back. But I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about it. To all the members who have been with the forums since they've been in-game: what is your opinion on how the forums are ran, and how is the community as a whole compared to then. Also, does anyone remember me or any of the other forumers? If so, list them.

Of course there are still forumers, there are thousands of posts every week and a lot of them are by the same few active people. I'm sure a lot of them will see this thread and comment on it if they feel like it. The newer HTML forums may not be ingame like the older flash forums were, but they have a lot of new features and people enjoy coming here and trying them out, it's definitely a lot more organised and easier to find what you need. With the addition of being able to get to the forums from your phone, I see a few people even more active due to that.

nothing has changed; why would it have? people have always come and gone

people have indeed left but the ones who truely loved using the forums stayed so Im ok, I only wish the forums would auto update like the old ones

I can tell you there are tons of forumers, a few specific ones may have left but plenty remain. The forums are still just as good as the old one, even better with wonderful organisation.

I enjoy these forums more but it's kind of annoying going out of the game and going into a web browser. But the features like bold text and stuff like that make up for it. I was waiting forever for these kind of features.

Otherwise, Shamoose echoes my sentiments. There's still a ton of active users, even if they're not the ones you knew.

Moreover, that's a rather small issue that doesn't personally bother me. :p

Yeah, that's what I figured. You're right though, I really don't know any, "forumers" right now.

For me, the largest problem with the forums is its tedious navigation. I think it would be helpful to see a collection of a user's comments/posts as other forum-styled websites have, such as on Reddit. If this isn't public, at least allow a user to see his/her own.

(I'm fairly new to the forums, so please correct me if there already is a way.)

I still see plenty of familiar faces around here whether they've been around or just started coming on, I wouldn't really say anything's changed to be honest.

The new forums are great but a little hard to get used to at first after using the flash forums for so long but after that transition everything usually becomes second nature. Navigating around doesn't seem as smooth anymore but it definitely gets you to where you need to be, my only real complaint would be the issues with spending too much time typing out a post and then having the page time out or give you an error thus possibly losing all the stuff you just typed (be sure to c/p your post if you spent a lot of time on it, I've made the mistake multiple times)..

Other then that, everything's pretty solid.

Yeah, that does suck. It's happened to me a couple of times since I've been back.

It's happened to me way too many times and I could never really understand why these forums have such issues that the previous forums (before flash) didn't really seem to have. It doesn't quite make much sense to me and honestly I question if there's even a solution.
